i'm not sure exactly why people stopped making presets but i feel like it's because you eventually realize there's two kinds which are basically summarized by the ones you listed. you have gimmick presets that may or may not work well and any effect on prose wears off 50 messages in anyways (f-list prompt) and you have simple presets that are just "write good and don't fuck up thanks" presets (momo). of course there are othee things to explore but once you become savvy it ends up being "oh that would be cool as a toggle in my personal preset" instead of making a whole new one for a gimmick.

I asked a thread or two ago, didn't get an answer. How could I setup something to be more like a visual novel? My current experience with sillytavern is just reading text, and that's boring. What got me interested in this last year was I saw that someone had made a live2d anime character that would puppet on the screen dancing and interacting with the chat actively reacting with expressions and more. The character also had some minor voice acting, throwing out occasional anime buzzwords but not reading the full block of text to you. I've sort of been trying to recreate that since and haven't figured much out yet.
