I was on most of the uptime, I spent ungodly hours trying to get on. And it doesn't matter. Its a relaunch, a fresh start, with servers potentially twice the capacity and a lot fo newcomers from ascension exposure. A total reset is sensible, and it comes across like desperate selfishness that you want to cling on to your few hours old character. As I said I think its irrelevant anyway. I've played turtle when it was ~2k pop and it felt about the same as it does now. At 2k we always had 4-5 tents up in stormwind, or goldshire, or both at the same time. We also had multiple tents up at crossroads, albeit less frequently. And that's on 2k pop. I just feel like with 10k you should encounter a lot more players in the world than you do now.
I've also played turtle with ~100 pop and it took me ~15 minutes to get a deadmines run going

Sorry to hear that. For me I guess I make an effort to talk to players when I play so I've got a nice sized Friends list of people who were fun to play with. I'd say the number of jackasses I've met were maybe four. Compared to retail there just aren't raging assholes who take the game too serious. It's simple hybrids getting better DPS is bad because the world is already flooded with DPS. If you can tank or heal, then you should. Giving Feral and Ret more power does nothing but hurt the game since every faggot will be playing a class that is good at everything. Hybrids being bad dps wasn't a flaw of vanilla, it was a calculated design choice. Giving a hybrid stronger healing or tank abilities incentivizes them to play those which is good, but making their dps as good as a class like mage or rogue or warlock just doesn't make sense because they have so much more utility and uses, especially in PvP. A resto druid in pvp can already do pretty good damage and stay alive a long time, you want to make their dps better? You want to make a feral druid god tier because now they are faster than everyone, can heal themselves, and also do as much damage as a rogue or warrior? It just doesn't make sense, neither thematically nor balance wise.

We recommend updating via our launcher for a seamless transition and built-in addon management, client modding, and optimization. If you haven't downloaded our launcher yet, head to https://turtle-wow.org/ and click download -- it'll be the main option, with both Windows and Linux support. Warrior will be the best tank in T1, easy to reach uncrusheable and good threat but doesn't scale. They have lackluster AoE threat but that's not an issue in raids.

Paladins are the best AoE threat tanks and their single target isn't too shabby once they get some spell damage. They can reach uncrusheable but I doubt they'll be able in T1

Druids can't reach neither uncrusheable nor uncriteable but their armor and health pools are ridiculous. They take more overall damage than the other 2 so they don't work without good geared healers.

i think i would roll on a non-guru pvp server and if it ever merged with guru i would simply delete my character

1 good thing I found on the ascension fun servers is that if you do hardcore and the server restarts, you get sent to the nearest inn

I feel like Epoch will be a lot more boring and lot more like normal vanilla compared to leveling fresh on turtle.
