for those in the last thread, here's how a worst case engagement looks in my MCO setup vs a shitload of archers. yeah, i got tired of waiting for handbrake to finish it's thing so it's just youtube.
main things to keep in mind is to keep moving and shmoving. if the engagement takes more than 4 or 5 seconds, the archers probably already have a bead on you. ignore the melee guys until you take out their ranged and supports.
also, i set up my sprint attacks to be a quick shoulder check to give melee extra utility. i use it to stagger and control enemies. it functions as an on demand high speed bash that, if timed well, can do respectable damage with attack of opportunity modifiers.

Tes 6 is gonna be so shit. It's gonna look nice but the story will be shit, the characters will be shit, weapons and armor will look ugly, the unique ones will look the same as the stock ones, levelling is gonna be piss easy and everyone will eat it up.

It truly disgusts me how much bethesda can get away with. Starfield was utter trash as a game and I have no hopes they'll ever release anything worthwhile again. I'm using it in a normal playthrough which directly compliments my playstyle.
I've made a succubus build which can kill with a drain spell on orgasm and converts the xp from that into regular perks. In towns it's a good way to earn cash via prositiution and apply a mild drain that doesn't kill but gives less xp. It's all immersive and integrated with NPC comments and quests etc.

Dialogue notwithstanding, the characters were still shit. Dialogue alone doesn't make the game all that better when the rest is shit. I'd love to hear what other improvements they got? The map was shit, the inventory system was shit considering it randomised the loot instead of how it was before. And I dunno what engine upgrades there were. I played the game on the lowest settings on my gtx 970 (old af i know but still) and the game barely booted half the time. I got decent frames but it looked like dogshit. Meanwhile I could play the latest yakuza games on medium and get perfect frames while the game still looked gorgeous. They said they made starfield cause they didn't wanna be known as tes/fo guys but now they're known as guys making shitty games. Zero passion in them, just a decent mod platform the fans will always make better. And todd knows it and exploits it as much as he can.

Im running with 1500 active plugins, i always hand placed plugins and check what it overwrites etc. Recently i decided to yolo and run LOOT. It totally messed up my load order but i give it a try. I'm just worried custom assets, like modded in armors or mesh replacers, won't be compatible out of the box with the inventory. Though as stated, it could just be using ground inventory models so maybe they will be. Also someone in the comment section brings up a good point, what about all the other inventory slots? For stuff like accessories and such. It is just a demo like it said so perhaps that hasn't been implemented yet.

there's a number of ways to assuage this; the worst it'll be is "soft incompatibilities" where the icons don't directly represent the mod but are represented as some default that's close enough

setting the fading speed low in its mcm made all the initial startup messages quickly disappear
so I don't think you need to wait long at all with the messages playing because it's mostly the interface's fading spd delay rather than actual lag
