I guess I'm a little homophobic because most gay romances I see in games feel like they were put there for the sake of being gay but spamton and tenna's thing feels completely natural.

All, for the reason I committed what I did, was because I just laid waste to 5 days by making a fat spamton plush, only to tear him apart before finishing. And I… just had to get those feelings out! I will try my hand at a little fat Tenna bug next and hopefully he’ll turn out to meet my expectations. A smaller scale Tenna would work better for matching size TV world darkner plushes, it’s what I should have opted for in the first place. I’m the painter-fag, not the build-a-bear-fag, after all. Hand sewing plushies is a deceptively hard task, even if it is a simple design. But the pay off greatly outweighs the struggle, so I encourage you to try. Having characters in a tangible object form is awesome, especially one you can cuddle. I think that picking spamton was a bad choice, though, because I recently did a complicated plush of the leyak from abiotic factor and she turned out very well. Spamton is weird looking and I tried to give him dimensions to his face that weren’t working.

I read 31 chapters of Spamton-Chan's Daily Life as someone who isn't that massive of a fan of spamton. I was recommend to read this by an anon a few days ago and based on the title alone I ignored it. But my partner then linked me it after telling me they were reading it. I was thinking about it in respect to two things:
1) FRIEND is the first entity with awareness when a Dark Fountain is created; we also know Gaster appears to discover Dark Fountains in ENTRY 17
2) Creating a fountain within a dark world creates a titan which is an embodiment of fear
So the act of creation in Deltarune is intrinsically linked with fear and vulnerability, and so FRIEND is linked to that too
That said I'm not truly totally sure FRIEND is an ontologically malevolent entity. He could be more like a Satan figure in the Book of Job, someone who's holy duty is to challenge you to ensure you are worthy or doing right. Or something else. But I think this line of thought is interesting

Anon, Kris as a character narrates everything faithfully and I'm not saying they don't or shouldn't. If Kris, as a character, intentionally misinterprets an action you tell them, such as turning a door knob without opening the door just to fuck with you and make you suspicious of something else and throw suspicion off of themself, that does not make the story bad. It makes Kris a more cunning character the same way intentionally misinterpreting our dialog choices does. And there's no reason to be hateful just because you dislike the idea. You can express disagreement without having a seething tantrum. it's just a simple idea you don't even have to respond to.

You don't suppose it's Asgore hiding in there, spiking the ground and making fountains, do you? This would kinda make sense with trying to gather up Toriel, Undyne and Carol. Asgore wants to prove... something, as we've seen in Ch 4. So who would be a better audience for showing the truth than the police, your ex-wife, and the mayor?
