Honestly even if they fix performance now I think most of the damage has been done. They killed the hype on launch and no hype means less sales long term. The way gamers are these days they move from one thing to the next very quickly and don't linger. Almost 6 months after launch and capcom is still fucking around? P3rd and Rise actually are not as easy as Milds. The progression was much better through LR and HR. You can also use TAs to quantify kill times and Milds were drastically faster than even World. P3rd and Rise TAs were from 2 to 4 minutes. People can 'feel' all they want; there is already objective metrics for every base game.

Wilds is fundamentally terrible and boring to play at every stage of the game and the haven't done anything to address the actual criticisms. People said the game was too easy and that the player is way stronger than they should be so they buffed every single player weapon substantially and gave gore magala more HP across several patches. People say they can't run the game even on good rigs that can run 90% of other games well so capcom makes the game even more unstable with each patch. Capcom have done nothing to address the terrible campaign progression or the horrific story and mandatory walk and talks, or given any indication that they even see them as a problem.

I would say the talisman patch is probably the worst possible implementation of the system they could have went with:

- the new 9* difficulty tier consists entirely of arkveld + gore + 4 regional apexes + 3 title update monsters, which was already the entire endgame pre-patch
- among the 9* tier, all of them give awful talisman payout except for gore and seregios, meaning there's basically no reason to ever do the other 7 unless those are too strong for you. this is especially deleterious in gore's case because gore has been the default endgame mon since the game's launch
- the 9* monsters are not meaningfully different in any way from the existing 7*/8* versions except for having higher hp, taking less damage from falling rocks/environmental sources, and not automatically getting knocked down after performing focus strike on a wound
- no 9* version of the vast majority of the game's lineup, including rathalos, gravios, rompopolo, doshaguma, etc
- the talismans themselves have a relatively limited selection of skills, you don't get any of the interesting/unique weapon skills added to TU monsters, or set bonuses
- as a result, nearly all talismans are useless except for the small handful of DPS skill talismans that you slap onto your existing 100% affinity gore magala build for an extra 0.005% DPS. The system does nothing to actually incentivize building new sets or enabling unique or weapon specific builds
- several of the new talismans literally do not work properly and the game now crashes if you cart

I joined an SOS Seregios and the host - using bow - proceeded to cart twice in the two minutes it took everyone to join him.
After the second cart he switched to hammer and proceed to spam traps, flashes and lures until we got it cap ready.
Is this really how people play?

AGI only has about 50% uptime and WEX is only live while you're on a weak point which is nearly impossible to maintain on monsters like Steve and Gore who don't fucking hold still. -Have the decency to help out on the monster that is currently being prioritised and not go off on your own thinking you're helping and some such.

Fighting a scaled up monster in MR alone when there are 4 hunters in session is not only inefficient (time-wise) - but it also introduces the risk that you'd be carting multiple times for idiotic reasons and ultimately take the whole team down towards a fail state.

Yes and No. I think they're definitely too easy on some weapons. Hammer and GS for example. For Insect Glaive and HH, I think they're okay. I also do not like that one of the most optimal playstyles for GS is Offset attacks. They look cool when you first do them, but then you realize that it's basically just spamming them on monsters who are much faster like Seregios.
If you tune them down a bit, make them harder or something, I might like them. But right now they're a bit much.

Power Clashes on the otherhand I do enjoy a lot.
