As soon as challenges were done, I tried another match then came to the realization that Battlefield 6 is awful and not as fun as past Battlefields. It might be fun if you like mindlessly running around killing. There is no thinking required anymore. The most you can do is try flanking. I remember back in the day you could ride a buggy to the other side of the map and sneakily infiltrate the enemy side, set up a c4 trap or sabotage enemy vehicles.

I play on asia server. Why are asia players aware of my presence and pre-aiming me from across the map no matter where I go, what flank I push, or what path I take?

It's almost impossible for me to surprise anyone. They are always already aiming and firing at me as they go through a door or around a corner.

I mostly just use the shotgun now, but they still manage to damage me to 25% health before they die "instantly" as soon as I shoot them. Sometimes I do get behind somebody and miss once, but they instantly flick and kill me, even if they are fighting somebody else first.

I moved to thailand recently and havent played any FPS in asia server before. Is this just how they are? Super sweaty all the time? It's much different than north america.

Using a controller instantly spots people in front of you. You don't need to press the spot button. Close quarters all enemies get doritos without you having to do anything. Just try it alone when you aren't with your team. Not that you should use a controller unless you like it, just be aware that the handholding for toddlers really is that extreme.

I think I've seen the attackers win on Liberation Peak maybe once or twice. Good luck attacking on Empire State because it's even worse; every time I play Breakthrough on that map I am ALWAYS an attacker and we've yet to get past the second set of objectives.

What is wrong with the servers? One game I am slaying left and right. Next game I shoot people with literal entire mags and barely kill them. Headshots over and over and the game doesn't even count them. Shot behind cover, dying in "one hit" despite the game saying I was shot 6 times, etc

Anyone else getting a graphics and audio bug where some graphics and sounds disappear, like you can't see your own gun, you can only see your main weapon, you see floating weapons and no player models, sounds disappear for some weapons, etc?

Happens to me randomly and I have to restart the game. Performance overall is extremely good so I'm chalking it up to a bug.

Game is defo fun and addicting because of the costant dopamine but this type of gameplay is not what I load a battlefield title for.
There is no room for strategy because everything just goes so fast and dying barely matters because the respawn is fucking 5 seconds. The biggest "strategy" in this game is unironically spawn abusing and flanking. By the time I get 1 kill holding an angle with a sniper I could have gotten 12 kills by respawning 4 times as an assault player.
I would unironically like them trying a game mode where death is permanent and see what happens then.

I've played every day of the first week and second week and I gotta say I had fun, but this game is exhausting to play and feels very shallow as well, and the design overall feeds into it more with the hyper fast paced style (maps, respawn, etc).
The game will probably release broken / bad as well because.

I won't pre-order since the special edition bonuses are awful and if the game doesn't turn out to release on fire then it's not like it will cost me more to buy later. The Battle Royale will also be free to play.

I mainly don't want to buy the game because it feels like I've experienced everything already, except the full list of weapons and the other half of the maps, but these maps are so bad I don't really want to experience that either, and I would still have to play with the full pool of maps, or exclude certain maps when looking for certain modes and vice versa.

But my god the teammates in this game are genuine fucking buffoons. They will NEVER do anything to help themselves or the team. C4 a spot where you know for a fact enemies are clustered in? Nah. Put a spawn beacon down in a good spot? Nah just put it as the furthest spawn point on the map away from all locations. Pick a teammate up who is literally underneath you calling for rez? Nah. I'm saying all this because from my perspective I am not a great player and yet I still do everything to help myself and my team. I'm not a fan of MOBAs and the little I played of them I didn't enjoy myself or the game. Arguably I'm terrible at them so I don't play them not even with friends. Not buying BF6, uninstalled the beta cause it's just rage bait & the maps are the worst in BF history.

The map should've been 3 Cairo's stitched together to make it truly feel like a sprawling maze so you aren't fighting a schizophrenic deathmatch with enemies coming out of rooms you just cleared a second ago shotgunning you in the back.

It is deadly at both medium and short ranges, and you can still harass people at longer ranges. So far my longest shotgun kill in the beta is 150m (from up on the mountain thoughbeit).

empire state is pretty good but its really ass for anything but conquest, also pax armata side has such a crazy disadvantage. nato can basically walk from D to the high ground of C (the middle point) and just shoot anyone there uncontested. also the points next to pax armata uncap are both infested with shotgun niggers. nato points are all wide open so its much easier to push into.

Our ongoing investigations reveal that some users experience wait times of 4-5 minutes, depending on the mode and map selected.

Custom Search prioritizes filling matches to near capacity. Due to the record numbers during Open Beta, matches are filling quickly.

If Custom Search cannot match you within a certain time, it will attempt to create a new match. This process takes 4-5 minutes to maximize the chance of finding the most suitable scenarios first.

Players that are grouping up, may also experience this more as that search becomes tighter due to having to fit more people into a match.

The best thing I can say about the bf6 beta is that it runs pretty well. Maybe that's where all the effort went. People forget how unplayable some of these games have been even post-beta at launch.
Anyway, I'm 28 years old. My first Battlefield was 2142 and while I have a ton of nostalgia for it, I can see it's mostly JUST nostalgia that I have for it. I had to go out of my way to play 1942 and 2 with communities and with friends and am glad I did, because those games were really fun and I wish I had been able to get into them more when they were in the main spotlight. 2's expansion maps especially are just fantastic. On that note, it's odd how some games have significantly better post-launch support than others. BF1 came out super strong but never really took massive leaps with its expansion content. BFV meanwhile was pretty ass but made significant ground down the stretch towards the end.

It wouldn't be fair to rank a beta as a whole game but I'd say BF6 so far is a D-tier experience. With some fun big maps I could see the launch game maybe hitting C-tier, but there is still just so much wrong with the game. I can't deny it has somewhat of an addicting quality to it which is why I won't say it's "bad", but DICE has their work cut out for them to improve the game substantially post-launch.

With this being in the late 2nd weekend, people have started getting good at twitch aiming all over the place and its really starting to watter down the game. During the first weekend people were still getting used to the gun controls a bit so playing smart got you quite a lot of kills. Now all the cs go players or whatever picked up the game and you can't play smart without a guy perfectly shooting you in the head from nowhere every single time.

I'm usually pretty good at spray transfer in games and it geniunenly feels impossible to do in bf6 due to how floaty the guns are. It never feels like ur mouse is actually in control of ur gun fully, and I run the game at 120fps native with reflex on boost so the game feeling this floaty and unresponsive is a warcrime.

It was a problem in most pre-V BF games. if weapons are balanced as such that they just automatically lose whenever they're outside of their engagement distance, then people are going to gravitate towards whichever weapon covers as many bases as possible. I had this happen to me in the test- very often I would swap to a different weapon archetype and quickly go "actually why am i bothering" and swap to a high firerate AR that can cover range pretty well and cover CQC very well.

Its just the guns that feel off, the game input wise is completely instant, I think the guns just have way too many animation dependencies so you can't properly get a tight feel for shit.

I geniunenly have no idea why DICE doesn't just keep reusing the same shooting mechanics from BF1. That game's shooting was the perfect mix of flashy but tight and responsive. Every type of gun felt perfect to shoot and aim with and the animations were still super detailed. People keep shitposting about BF6 being like COD but the literal only benefit COD has had since MW2019 is that the shooting is very tight and instant feeling, something this game lacks entirely.

You dont bloom up on the minimap while you are shooting however people can still spot you.

V has the best mechanics in the entire franchise by a huge margin, it's just held back by a small map pool and a bad reputation earned entirely from an extremely loud autistic segment of the fanbase who are bizarrely more concerned with historical accuracy and women in a franchise where you can dolphin dive to your heart's content and ride in your teammate's helicopter to repair it mid-flight than whether or not the game is actually good or fun
conquest on Wake Island, Pacific Storm, Solomon Islands, Hamada, and Aerodrome is peak battlefield up there with 1, the good half of 4, BC2, and 1942

No it doesn't show you, or it only shows you for a split second. My average lifespan and effectiveness went up drastically as soon as I slapped suppressors on everything I was using.

Try it out, especially if you are someone who likes playing the flanks or backlining.

matchups is a great idea actually. there should always be some thinking in the back of your brain when you run through various areas of the map how if you start getting shot from X direction you know it's some guy with a long/mid range build and you're going to be significantly outclassed, but if you rotate around to the opposite side you can pretty reliably outgun anything that comes your way unless its a guy with an identical loadout.

its especially fun for a casual game since if you just give everyone 1:1 identical kits then it just becomes a plain skill check where a giga gamer can just run free like pacman just eating up anyone that dares end up in their way. and currently shotgun users are those pacmans and they basically make any close range point unplayable but thats another issue.

empire state on conquest honestly plays so well it fucking astonishes me sometimes, like if i see my team start capturing D it's guaranteed i will see someone running in through the 1st floor door next to the stairs since thats where the defenders spawn, then once you kill them once they respawn below the point on the street and run toward the stairs.

BF1 treated WW1 with complete respect and seriosity and made it its focus to teach a newer generation about the horrors people in WW1 faced. The fact it had more semi and full auto weapons than used in the war does not nullify any of that.
