Initially I wanted to have these elves "reproduce" by their trees just sprouting new elves, but I couldn't find a mod for that, but more importantly I thought of a more interesting idea.
A sci-fi, Rimworld take on a process would be them reproducing solely through cloning (courtesy of the Clones (Continued) mod). A single elf would donate her DNA to the process and the "seed", in this case the growth vat, would grow the new elf until she is able to walk, at which point she is welcomed to the community is expected to train at a young age.

Initially I was just going for the standard ending of getting the ship and escaping the rim, but right now I'm honestly not sure. At the moment I just want to see how this elf colony goes, since its the first time I had a Gauranlen centric playthrough.
I might pivot to an Anomaly playthrough just because the endgame for that has a lot of hectic base defense stuff, and this faction of elves really lends themselves to defending (as most wood elven archetypes are).

Has everything, all the bells and whistles, but with net 0 metabolic efficiency. Only downside is unattractive will get them insulted more often than normal, but they can deal with it. Oh, depending on your playthrough psychically deaf can be pretty detrimental, but not for mine. Alcohol and psychite dependencies do not matter at all once you've got an established base, and go-juice is a benefit for a combat unit, have them carry it around and pop it pre-fight for extra performance with no worries about ODs or addiction. All doable without a single archite gene.

I can't get more quests to get materials. I did that before, but got this ancient complex in the other continent which I can't reach atm, so until I manage to get a shuttle, I can't continue getting ancient complex quests, I got some rando "old mercenary" or something like that, but my animals almost die half way there, and I couldn't carry enough supplies to survive the travel alone, nor there was a thing to hunt on the way (due extreme cold, I guess), so I'm waiting for aprimay to get things a bit warmer and try again if the mercenaries are still there (which I doubt it). I got lucky before and got this mission to rescue some dude captured by neanderthals nearby (just 3 days walking) and that's how I managed to get wood, but the captured dude die of cold and couldn't carry much, still got enough to make a butcher table, so I get more meat from invaders.

While the archery component of this still needs researching, I was able to buy one of the new bows off one of the Wisteria Corp merchants
