That's not a level the story is operating on and doing that is not going to produce more of what makes the story good (unlike e.g. character analysis or inventing darkner OCs).
It might produce something that's fun and worthwhile in its own right. And it's sometimes useful for propping up things that do operate on the same levels as Deltarune. I've indulged in it plenty myself. But you can like everything Deltarune does without liking that.

Going back to lore autism, here's my analysis of Asgore's socio-economic political views in Undertale.

>Corporate interests seem to have a lot of influence in the Underground. Mettaton is an extremely rich corporate tycoon who openly disregards workers’ rights and any safety regulations. In one ending he even orchestrates a corporate takeover of the whole country. In a similar vein, Muffet seems to be highly influential and above the law. There are mercenaries operating out in the open while the Royal Guard seems very small and frankly incompetent.
>On one hand we see examples of inadequate public services being supplanted with private enterprises, while on the other hand we have the Snowball tax which seems to be a bullshit tax meant to patch up the budget deficit. It is likely that Asgore lowered more general taxes like those on sales and income to keep the unrest in check, but this forced him to issue new, less visible taxes elsewhere to keep the country afloat.
>There is a housing crisis in New Home, and people from the city are moving into the more surrounding areas like Snowdin and Waterfall. We get an apartment building because Snowy lives in an apartment building as part of his characterization (he's poor). It's intended to say things about Snowy but not about Hometown beyond unreflective generic townness.
We get a freestanding ghost house because we got those in Undertale too. How wacky! But this time it's one instead of two because forces the ghosts into more proximity and we meet Napstablook at the police station. All the intentionality is directed upward at the characters and the plot, not downward at the world.

I don't think nitpicking a story is necessarily analyzing a story in earnest. Analyzing a story in earnest is more about actually looking at what the story does, and is trying to do. Bad faith nitpicking more often than not distracts from that. Video games, and RPG's especially, are very prone to this. Just look something like Pokemon, which literally nobody ever approaches in earnest(Not to say they should, I'm just using it as a example) but has been the target of a endless stream of bad faith nitpicks basically since it started.

Like, to talk about the whole "Aragon Tax policy" meme. While I think it's funny, I think trying to argue it's not taking the story earnestly is unfair if not downright disingenuous. It's a very valid criticism, or even just observation(Been a while since I read the actual quote in context), of Lord of the Ring as a work. It's not one I personally share, but one I do nonetheless understand. I would also honestly argue Song of Ice and Fire, for all of it's edge, is a very earnest story. Hell, I'll go so far as to say that part of the reason why the show eventually went bad is that it lost any sense of earnestness.

Undertale, and for that matter Deltarune, don't really explain the magic all that much but I also don't think it really benefits the text that much to do so. I brought it up last time, and I will here again, but Harry Potter to me is a classical example of a story that consistently undermines itself through overexplaining. The various aspects of the world, the themes, and the actual characters all clashing against each other in a way that ultimately just leaves the story as kind of a mess despite being structurally relatively sound. Unless Toby really has some kind of a clear point he wants to make with the magic I think keeping it generally vague and plot relevant is mostly a benefit to the story.

i dont know, and i cant prove it. all i know is that analyzing the surface-level story of deltarune, we can conclude that a lot of monsters in hometown, possibly the majority, live in poverty in apartment buildings. our adventure takes place in the upper-middle class "nice" part of town. we also know that economics have a clear tie to the living situation of monsters, because asgore went from being able to afford a two-story house as police chief to living in a dingy, moldy room in his business because it failed.

That makes this kind of analysis really unproductive compared to stories that do care on a deeper level. You still haven't concluded much besides "Hometown has an economy"!
Stories where this analysis is rewarding tend to care about more than just their characters. Le Guin does political commentary, Greg Egan really cares about systems for their own sake, Nabokov uses worldbuilding detail to produce a particularly vivid experience.

So I think the reason Toriel wasn't supposed to wake up in Chapter 3 was because then she'd know Asgore was right.
Asgore knows about Dark Worlds as he was in the shelter when he was trying to save Dess but failed.
Kris was likely in the shelter at the same time and Asgore, one way or another couldn't save both.
Kris traded the Vessel his red headband for the SOUL and likely feels guilty for Dess' disappearance because she likely went in before Asgore to save Kris (likely feeling responsible for his safety)
We're going to get the police code to the shelter from Asgore or at least his shop since he used to be police chief and its unlikely they changed the code.
When we enter the shelter in either route, we're very likely to bring Noelle with us.
