his S1 is arguably better than his S2 because its rupture count neutral and giga juices every other heishou's defensive skill (including faust's ascendent defensive loop)
his S2 eats count like a motherfucker but atleast it juices everyone with +10% glut damage which is pretty good for damage phases and when you have a good rupture stack going.
Obviously his Skill 3 is amazing and does a bunch of shit
His counter is like his S2 but it doesnt eat a ton of count. +10% slash damage is better than +10% gluttony damage and it begins the retreat loop of unopposed S3s.

Ive found that his S2 is kind of a trap and its better to just alternate between his S1 and counter along with popping his S3 whenever its available.

Also the Snake Heishou need to go. Theyre slow as fuck while having clash win be a major source of their count and their S3s arent rupture nukes like the Mao. Hopefully the new heishou have better S3s for the retreat loops or have some kind of gimmick based around retreating like keeping/building poise values on the bench.

The S2 (and Rodya's S3) are meant to be rupture triggers. Once you have a good stack of count going on, applying more count is meaningless, so multicoin skills are best. S2 is a 4 hit, Rodya's S3 can be 5 (by the time you get a lot of rupture count you should have enough poise to guarantee it) and both of the snakes S2s can also be 4 hits. Most enemies are at 55 offense level for their skills but xichun ish has 56, 58, 60 offense level on her S1-3 respectively. I know that Carmen did point out the disparity with Ishmael assuming Xi Chun’s role, with the biggest issue being this Ishmael never went to the Great Lake which is like a Quantum Timelock “canon event” that Ishmael usually goes through like Heathcliffs meeting Cathys. Somehow that was seen as even more impossible than Ishmael being a changeling that took Xi Chun’s place.

Perhaps the problem is Dante observes Mirror Worlds of the Sinners’ IDs so a possibility so astray as Ishmael being born in the Jia Family would forcefully need a past to match. It didn’t glitch when kbserving Ishmael herself but did when talking about what happened previously. Perhaps Ishmael herself is an observable point where the timeline gets close enough, and anything prior is too far from our current norm.
Kind of the opposite of N.Corp Faust. There is enough brainwashing in N.Corp to conveniently turn Faust into a second Kromer, her background being constant but the present Faust being completely different. The “foundation” is closer, so the view is more solid.
