if you dont like the boss dont do it

The chip damage puts a timer on the encounter so you are rewarded for doing it with higher levels, requires you to use good eat timers, maximize your dps and also gives players the choice to go for the harder t1 prep or the safe t2 prep but yeah let's just remove that incredibly large part of the gauntlet's design for some reason. Why would we want friction in our videogame at all?

You do have time for t3 prep. It just makes more sense to do t2 and catch a full inventory of fish instead if you are terrible at cg and barely getting by because it is more consistent.
