Realistically any 50% gifter is a huge boon, you can borrow a second for a fair number of usecases. Early players can now just pick Waver for this too.

Any of Castoria, Koyanskaya or Skadi + suitable 5* servants they work with is enough for you to be able to do the vast majority of content efficiently.

Having Koyanskaya/Skadi/Castoria and Oberon is essentially a well built account where you have all bases covered and can do 99% of content with min turn runs. Anything beyond that is purely flavour for optional content that isn't about efficiency (eg Lady Avalon is great but she is not "meta"). Unless you want to argue the immortal team is meta I guess. I wouldn't since it's not typically useful for general content, just no braining some bosses which can usually be done in other ways.

For the record I own everyone you mentioned except Merlin (unless you count Lady Avalon as Merlin).

NP level and NP overcharge are two different things.

NP level refers to the level of that servants NP, dictated by how many times you've obtained them and combined them. For most damaging NPs, this is usually just a raw damage increase up to NP5. For non-damaging NPs it will usually increase one of the effects of the NP. The effect in question is usually dictated by a "[Lv. 1]" next to the specific effect in the description. Additionally, if your servants NP level is more than 1, they gain the ability to gain NP gauge past 100%.

NP Overcharge is a mechanic every NP has where they have one or two effects tied to how "overcharged" the NP is. This is NOT the same as level. The things that impact Overcharge levels are

- Using an NP with 200% or 300% NP gauge (+1 for each 100% extra)
- Using an NP while having an Overcharge buff (amount will depend on the buffs source)
- Using an NP after another NP in a chain (+1 for each one before it in the attack chain that turn)

Take my Saber here for example. I've rolled her four times, so I have her at NP Level 4. That has made the damage output of her NP greater, while you can see that the Overcharge effect is a seperate effect.

If you have multiple NPs to fire in a single turn, all in the chain after the first get increasing overcharge levels. So if you have 3 NP1 servants who naturally can't charge beyond 100% and fire them all in a single turn, the first one fires it at 100% and gets no overcharge, the second gets 200% and gets the first level of overcharge and the final fires it at 300% and gets two levels of overcharge.

That's simply one way to do it. You will always get your Overcharge effect in some way (outside of some fringe cases where the ramp up may start at nothing), the Overcharge will usually just make that effect stronger. As far as I'm aware, not specifically. It's basically a mix of Prisma Cosmos and Heavens Feel but as a result is less impactful than either of them. It's not a bad CE in practice - in fact those are good effects with good values. It just doesn't have any very specific hard examples of being optimal over the usual faces.
