Are you playing the game in a language other than english? I know those light squares in the 2nd picture can appear when you use the weird unicode version of ... that's actually a single character (used by Word I think), so I wonder if it's trying to read from the chinese i18n like I described earlier and making the game shit itself in the process somehow. Anyway you can fix it easily by CTRL+Fing Gift.Love.Bliss etc etc in the translated i18n and replacing the gift taste i18n {{tokens}} with the dialogue there.

Is there a mod that will tell me where these are specifically? I can only find 523 of the 722 and it's driving me crazy. I have a bunch of expansion town mods installed and they aren't in any of those farms, nor are they in any of my chests.

At the forge I'd recommend upgrading your watoring can first, then combining some rings, lucky rings if you have them, with whatever u wear, and after that the rest of your tools in the order you use them most. There are multiple enchants for each tool and it's random thanks to poopdunkian so you may never get the one you want

I was thinking about it and to me it seems like a very good idea. It'd give a purpose to sitting in chairs and stuff to balance running depleting energy (as it should). It'd also make food and cooking more important because outside of the early game you'll almost never run out of energy unless you are trying to mine as many rocks as possible and even then bombs are more efficient

Ginger Island, however, kills all of this. It's a gacha game that was very popular with casual gaming women and effeminate gay men. It was very successful, we're talking a top 3 of all chart gacha game. They've announced a dye system and told the community to get grinding before the update, then the dye system came out and had nothing to do with ingame grind, it was just another cash shop (and a terrible one at that, you basically unlock alternative colors of specific items and there is no dupe protection and you can get colors for things you don't have), then they started increasing the number of items needed for a full set of dresses by, I'm shitting you not, doing the "sockings are 2 seperate items" trick of strip poker. Can't select them individually for mixed look tho that would be too much (mostly because older sets still have the old system). What a way to increase the price of a set by 40 bucks. Of course, we can't talk about gacha without deceptive (illegal) sales, like the infamous bathtub that got a price increase to $73 and a name change with a 79% sale to make it go back to its original price. Reminds me of that time a gacha game added a 0 to its most expensive pack to go on sale at 99%.

The clipping is because it's Stardew Planner v3 using an uploaded farm map. The website only has limited amount of integrated modded maps to plan on, but you can upload a jpeg of any mod map to paste buildings & shit over it. So it's all just one layer in the planner but in-game those forest edges will overlap the trees, fish ponds, etc.

I'm good enough at the fishing minigame that I can catch most of the fish I hook (challenging exceptions, of course). But, catching fish only provides me with more money; I don't obtain any additional useful resources from it (chest exceptions). A single day fishing takes substantially longer than any other day because catching fish freezes time.
I can go into the mines day-in and day-out because it provides me with useful resources. Fishing? Fish really only provide money. Pans are second-rate at provide ore. Gold treasure chests can provide tea and golden crackers, but I've already hit my limit on my primary farm. But, I can go into SC for more iridium, Danger Mines for more radioactive ore, and the volcano for more cindershards and dragonteeth

By the time you get to the forge you will be able to craft an Iridium Band which has both the glow ring and magnet ring properties on it, plus 10% damage increase. Iridium Band is one of those rings that are almost mandatory to keep on and taking it off feels bad.

There's so much in the game that even after clearing multiple "end objectives" there's still way more to do. Completing the Community Center, for example, can be seen as a culminating event of your run wherein you properly restore the town to its former glory. But in fact this is just the end of the early game and opens up the rest of Stardew Valley to you. The next long-term objective is the skull cavern which takes a lot of effort and conservation of resources to reach floor 100 and finally finish that open journal quest. Yet this isn't the end either, it's actually more like a side thing because while you're trying to reach floor 100 you'll probably gain access to Ginger Island which is its own self-contained set of objectives.

What portrait mods does this general like to use?
This one's always been my favorite, https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/14?tab=description (mostly for Haley), but I forgot it only does the marriage candidates. There was a variant mod that included the rest of the villagers, but that hasn't been updated in years.
So, sorta wanted to shop around for any decent portrait packs.

You can ask for donations, provided your links aren't obnoxious, but anything that goes on Nexus must not have any kind of premium extra content version locked behind a paywall. Like no uploading a basic version while shilling the super sekrit club version that supporters get to have exclusive access to for one month.
IIRC they used to be hardline against paid mods, but since Bethesda, the lifeblood of the whole site, went and introduced paid mods they relaxed the rule so you can have paid mods now, but still can't advertise them on Nexus.
