We "fixed" status effects, by making them feel like they're not even there to begin with. Flamethrower direct fire damage got cucked, stims dont work if you're too far away from the host. We also brought back the old stim bug where everyone was forced to walk if you used a stim.

It was. Unless you were shooting at 3 armor targets (there were barely any enemies that had 4 armor), it was weaker than the MG-43 in every possible way. Matching armor pen used to deal 50% instead of 65% back in the day, so there was a very small niche window for the HMG.

It's basically a close range armor shredder with mediocre handling, and huge amounts of downtime due to a combination of small magazine and long reload time. You absolutely need a backup weapon (which sounds fucking stupid for a SMG) and possibly Siege Ready for it to not feel like shit. But within its niche it is very strong, you can kill most enemies in only a few shots and if you have good trigger discipline you can make its small magazines count for more.

The AC is by far the most versatile weapon in the helldiver arsenal. Exceptional ammo economy, extremely fast reload, decent AoE radius & damage, Heavy pen & stagger. You can use it to crowd control groups of light units, engage mediums & heavies while denying them the chance to attack back thanks to the stagger (and do this nearly indefinitely, the stagger lasts more than enough for you to reload a clip), and, while not ideal, you can use it to kill superheavies by aiming at their weakpoints.

I think reloading should swap out your half empty mags for a full one, so that eventually you're just left with a bunch of mags with hardly any bullets in them. It'd make it so there was still a reason to fully empty mags instead of just always reloading, while also making it so you're technically not "deleting" any ammo.
