Animations and actual gameplay stuff are two entirely divorced elements of the game. In fact, ALL of the latter is decided the moment you press the button. What's shown has 0 impact on that.

From the actual character IDs that we have gotten two (Lei Heng and Zilu) have very little background and therefore can be replaced by the sinners without much issue, the other (gubosang) is technically a bad end ID that more or less answers what would have happened if Yi Sang stayed in N Corp instead of escaping.

For example Nellyshu and the Fullstops still feel like the sinners themselves and what they would have been like if they were put into this specific situation, how they would act and other things.
And then there are the bad ones like the bloodfiend trio that are just exact copy pastes of the characters its referencing and the original sinner is nowhere to be seen.

So I have no strong opinions about them, sometimes they're good sometimes they're good. Not replying to anyone in particular, just felt like giving my own thoughts on it since its the topic.

This is your entire economy.
You can only restore 4 light total per Scene (including natural draw) if you use both Mook and Old Boys at the same time. Both Mook and Old Boys cost more than 0.
Your draw is also limited to 5 pages if you use all 3 pages at the same time (2 comes from natural draw).
You cannot draw pages until the start of the Scene (after natural draw).
Meanwhile, his deck has two pages that cost 0, one that costs 1, four that cost 2, one that costs 3 and one that costs 4.
Problems with this deck should be very obvious. Wheels is the worst card in it because you basically brick on the spot.

E.g. you use Old Boys and Mook on Scene 4. You cannot draw them during that Scene no matter what order they go in or what draw effects you have.
Natural draw that occurs at the start of Scene 5 cannot draw those cards either. You will have to wait until at least next Scene to have a chance of drawing them. Mind the word "chance" here.
Your chances of drawing your light restores later drop further since you will never touch Wheels or Crystal at that point as you literally can't afford to. Those cards clog your hand, which cannot exceed 8 through draw effects, so, there is a chance you'll bee rendered unable to draw Old Boys.
Brace Up is really good because it ignores draw limit and can draw a used card, but Roland can't use it since he can't change his deck.
Binah's economy is even worse, but she's infinitely better as a keypage.

Actually, not really. Ominous Power exists and makes economy effectively free, but most keypages can more reliably restore light because they aren't stuck with only 2 cards in deck doing that (which, again, is the bigger problem than the actual quality of light restores in Roland's deck). Hell, you have Energy Conversion if you want to have Old Boys with a small condition you can very easily meet. It even draws on hit.

You only need Brace Up for this + Battle Ready and maybe Jeong passive if you don't trust your luck. Deck thinners like numbers card and Field Mods make it even easier. It's a setup build, but light starts to matter later on to begin with.

It will draw if you don't clash using it (enemies rarely have counter dice) or powerstack enough. You don't use it for card draw, it just has that as an extra, Leap is the real draw card. Likewise, you don't use Leap for light restoration (because it obviously has none). A single Golden Opportunity can generally give you Charge to just use both in the same deck + Multislash.
I haven't made normal decks in literal years and so they've been extremely unoptimized, but I also haven't touched vanilla for that long.

dont bother trying to get one going on turn 1, usually turn 3 is when you want to start one. Using a lineup of the 3 Mao heishou the best strategy is for all of them to get their passive haste going and then 10 speed dump atleast 2 of their S3s onto the enemy. Typically that is enough count to keep a rupture stack rolling so that other ids that are count neutral or slightly negative dont drop it. Then you just loop mao faust's empowered S3 for infinite count.

With Lord lu also take into account that his S1 is count neutral and his counter gives a free heishou S3 which are typically count positive.

The Glass Mirror is inherently based on the expectations of the observer but it does normally follow a kind of general rule of plausibility. The Golden Bough is basically pure magic though. It can break any rule as long as it has enough juice. Mephistoteles being hooked up directly to it is slowly turning it into some kind of quasi-EGO more than an amalgamation of a bunch of Singularities and it's kind of expanding the limits of what it's normally able to do. As limbus has progressed, it seems like teams are getting tighter and tighter. I think we're pretty much at the peak of how strict a team wants to be, with the lord Hong Lu and (ideally) 11 heishou pack team.Even beyond rupture and the pure heishou team, bleed is basically full kurokumo (+ ring sang) or bloodfiends + whoever else. Poise was mostly blade lineage (4 member minimum) for a while, but they're slowly being replaced. Full stop duo wants to be together but that's just 2 guys, the other new units don't have any real restrictions. Sinking is pretty loose right now, with a lot of really good units. The only real "restriction" is echoes of the manner, but that's more of a bonus than anything else. Charge is also pretty loose, but charge is basically still not a team. For a while it was all w. Corp, but they don't really have restrictions tying them together afaik. Tremor is a complicated. The status itself is complicated. There aren't "restrictions" besides maybe the 2 thumb units wanting to be together, but managing your tremor variants is trouble enough. Burn has no restrictions EXCEPT you have to run magic bullet outis for dark flame. It's purely just run whatever modern burn units you want and the team will work.

Consider the future, if there's a rupture id that doesn't belong to this faction, and they happen to be just alright or maybe even good, you still have no reason at all to consider adding them to the rupture team because the synergy between the Heisho's are that strong. The alternative is that stronger rupture ids start getting released, they 're so strong you can't help but slap them onto your team of Heisho's, which obviously weakens the synergy between team, and then assume that this happen a couple more times and more Heisho's are pushed out of the team, and what you have left is a half baked team of Heisho's and a group of rupture units that forced their way into the team because they're just that powerful.
