the genius of 6 comes from it's only ranked system. That system could be applied to any fighting game, no matter how hard, and with a big enough population then players will play and feel like they are making progress. And once they get good enough it transitions to elo for a better skill based system

The key is getting that initial population, but I truly believe that the games don't need to be dumbed down, they just need to have good matchmaking and incentives to play and learn. Dix gives people super powers, but that's unnecessary, if the matchmaking is good players will have equal skill. Fighting game devs just don't realize this and instead dumb the games down. What we need is a hardcore game but with the netcode and ranking system of dix

She's perfectly balanced

Elena's biggest problem by far is that it's not always possible to convert out of conterhit jab unless you're point blank, and her entire gameplan is making yourself +1 outside of throw range. If she could consistently do clk clp l.scythe on walk back and clp smk~shk tc into whatever on mash then she'd be fine. She sneeds one of those 7f -OB mediums just to help out, put it on 4mp or something.
