It's time for a little story about monkeygate. A long time ago a small company called cygames had a gacha banner with three characters named Beatrix, Eustace, and Monkey. Beatrix and Eustace were just general pool units while Monkey was limited. This banner had a pull rates of 3% which anyone would assume means 1% per character.

There was one man that really wanted Monkey yet even after spending $6000 he never got her. This made people question the rates and they started to gather pull data. It turned out that the 3% pull rates wasn't evenly split. Beatrix and Eustace had rates 5x higher than Monkey. Naturally this infuriated people and the Japanese government got involved so cygames was forced to refund the people that pulled and introduce a pity system. This is why every gacha now has a pity system and has to display individual pull rates per character.

Its a card game for lawyers, with the requirement for at least a modest amount of deck knowledge to know when and how to use couterspells and handtraps properly. Not to mention some decks require roach EXP to even pilot. SV takes like 15 mins to pick up and if you have a functioning brain you can get to grandmaster ruby/saphire easily.
