Forest is the only big deck that you actively play against. Sword and Rune simply throw out their cards because sword has cards that have insane innate value that will beat anyone in a pure numbers game while Rune just straight up doesn't care about the game at they just have to get to turn 10. Any turn where you are dealing damage to a follower instead of them is their win even if you wipe the board.

Forest tries to conserve as many cards as possible because they need the perfect hand to win but when you are playing against them you are trying to force the cards out of their hand. Forest is trying to play the game two turns ahead of where they are because if they spend anything more than the absolute minimum they wont have the cards to win.
