There's a lot I don't like about GF2. Ignore the Skin Gacha for a moment.

I've voiced these dislikes before, even when it wasn't popular to do so.

The reason why I still play GF2 is almost exclusively because of the story. It's carrying the game like it's Atlas. The game would mean nothing to me if it weren't for me being so invested in the Commander's journey with his dolls. People can bring up gooning or whatever, but there's way better games for that.

Despite that, I'm holding out for the game to eventually just be legitimately good. I'd like for it to have the spice and uniqueness that GF1 had. I'd like to enjoy more aspects of the game and not feel like the story and characters are the only things that make me care.

I don't think that's an unreasonable request.

What infuriates me is that it feels like the bad stuff was deliberately done that way to be bad.
As I said the other day, the game right now is like the archetype of the term gachaslop with a Girls' Frontline skin on top.

I am a doomer, true, but I legitimately want to see the game do a 180° and become the best gacha out there, I just don't see it ever happening, at all. Much less with stuff like the gameplay being pretty much unfixable at this point.
