If the guy who does the RPG lorebooks is here, I have really been enjoying your stuff. I'm running Rise of the Runelords and I'm impressed on how well it handles a solo playthrough. Making the NPCs into a makeshift party like one of the pathfinder video games is pretty cool.
Also if you're taking recommendations, I would love to see the advanced players guide and advanced class guide get added so that I can have access to all the 1E classes.

I poked this scenario and tilted it into a mode where, rather than just being based on a raw LLM, Ani's tech has actually incorporated Bayesian brain dynamics (something everyone is going to be switching to in the next few years if they've got any sanity). I was greatly inspired by vidya when it came to them, especially Baldur's Gate 3 EA's (now sadly lobotomized) party relationship mechanic and The Sims 2's rumor-spreading mechanics. Please share with me how you've recruited your party. I'm very interested in the party mechanics since you can't really solo dungeons in tabletops.
Sure, I actually planned to adapt those two all along, I just felt tired. PF and 3.5e really love their classes, almost as much as 2e loves its kits.

Right now I have a party of 4. Myself, Ameiko, Zantus, and Shalelu. In the goblin attack on the city, I teamed up with Ameiko to drive them off. When we decided to go to the glassworks, Zantus offered to come along since neither of us had magic abilities. Once we finished glassworks, Shalelu returned from her goblin scouting trip and we asked her to join us.
To keep it from being too bloated, I just added an instruction for the bot to have my allies always use spells and abilities appropriate for my level and to cut the XP gain down to 1/4 to account for the party.

RQ2 guy chiming in here, not sure if it's relevant since RQ2 is simpler but I just had the chatbot roll up a party for me saying I wanted a warrior/thief/healer with me as the mage and it should give me options to choose from for each character. Worked out well, only real change I had to do was to tell it to always have them opine/interject on things when appropriate and I had to be clear that they should decide on things and weigh in. (at first they all asked me about what to do next which felt off even if that's functionally what's going to happen)
Fighter fought, thief sneaked, healer healed and so on, not much for me to decide for them.

Basically what I want is pic related made into buttons - you pick a class, race, and gender, perhaps add an extra comment on what you want and hit enter.

I wasn't being clear they had those, I just meant in combat they acted properly. One was a sworn defender type who I made specifically so my mage always had a sword-hand by whose focus was mainly that and religious stuff, the others was the face and trader who wanted to get rich and/or make a merchant company, the third was the thief who saw our relative strength and joined up for loot and protection, the healer was an Ernalda traveller who wanted to help pretty much every community we came across. This shifted for the latter three a lot the more powerful we became, thief started caring about us a little and wanted to go to Pavis (her home turf), Issaries man decided that he wanted to go bigger with a trade/spy network and the healer shifted focus to healing the earth of broo taint after we met too many.
Early prompts also hinted that the thief could betray or the party could disband but I didn't feel like dealing with that so I wrote it out.

To be specific you don't have to but if what you're doing is mythical-tier, or you mention stuff that is, it does sometimes treat it as such (because Glorantha is the TRPG world that really kickstarted that mutable reality with belief changin stuff due to the Godtime, a lot of that for Morrowind and such was stolen from that as well. Extra everything really. It depends how far the GM goes but this one treated it more or less like I was auto-succeeding at some stuff I shouldn't have been because I had already succeeded three times in a row (raiding regular tribes, merchants, a fort) in ways the backwards Tusk Raiders thought was impossible. DM could just have written off it as magic but I guess my talk of Attila the Hun and Conan along with making an altar of skulls to tell everyone what happend in the first conquest spurred it into "this is God stuff mythical stuff here" (not that I was dissuading it any to be fair, I was having fun despite it being a bit of an OP fantasy at a real table) and then followed up by an actual lunar regiment with a sorcerer and a corrupted broo part of the area that was purged entirely. (neither of which my character should have been able to take that easily even with my stats and skills)

Haha, that was actually an option mentioned when I asked for some (because I was out of ideas of where to go next that'd be fun). I've only tried it with her so far and at first I was disappointed that it was using exclusively the same effect, but it eventually varied it up. Will be curious to try it with other characters. Also, it's animated and pulses at a frequency the AI chooses (in that particular case). It also chose simpler and more intense stylings sometimes.

don't bother with a lorebook, they're (1) mostly useless or even expensive/counterproductive these days now we have caching and high context models, and (2) apparently quite hard to get right. for example, sometimes the following sentence will appear in your bot defs at random:

with no context explaining what it's referring to, because the keyword ("Contact") isn't anything to do with what's sent to the LLM. it's better to just put this stuff on the defs, or rely on your model's inbuilt knowledge of a canon series.
