since this is an ai slop franchise now. someone generate me a fanfic where knuckles is the protagonist of some 80s thriller. he has to find the "shards of the master emerald". they are scattered all over the world. he has to fight shinobi from the chameleon clan like in Archie. has to deal with some CIA bat woman and some echidna woman who is an undercover KGB agent. they are also after the master emerald. whomever gets to have more of the master emerald complete owns better means for making chaos powered WMDs (It's the 80s, so the cold was is still running). Knuckles himself works for an underground cult. he is an orphan and was found by that ant guy from Archie. he trained him their ways of martial arts. and set him off on a "holy mission" to recover the shards of the master emerald.

I respect Sonic fans of all kinds but I really, really don't like Archie Sonic (or, by extension, IDW/Ian Sonic because he's so similar despite being bound by mandates). I usually end up feeling like "why would anyone even root for this guy?"

Dragon Road sounds so insanely dissonant and bad. The rhythm of the new percussion in that intro part doesn't even match the samples from the original song. Overall it's just more NuSonic "let's make the worst EDM remix possible of this older good song"

It's so fucked because music was consistently the redeeming aspect of this series even in its darkest moments but it's all been so fucking bad since Sonic 4, except for Mania and parts of Frontiers.

I have a theory that Prime's seasons were written for eight episode batches, but instead they release in twelve episode batches.
The story to animation pipeline doesn't allow for them to change it conveniently.
The result is the characters coming up with excuses to fight each other for five to ten minutes at a time.
It's really the only Sonic show that functions like a typical manga adaptation. That being that the episodes flow into each other. It is not very episodic. Especially towards the final season, most of the episodes are not meant to be watched on their own.
I don't think that's a bad thing on its own but it becomes an issue when you can tell that the plot is too thin for the runtime.

Not even I entirely understand my aversion to it. Being liked or wanted often feels strange and uncomfortable, even if I'm grateful.
I don't understand why they want to talk to me. Even when they explain why, it both makes sense and doesn't. I read and understand it but can't digest them. There's a disconnect between my self-perception and their words.

I eventually noticed I unconsciously gravitate toward people and groups that dislike me. Their insults are familiar. Sometimes I even wish people who like me would hate me instead, and I can't explain where it comes from. It's not that I don't want people to like me, I do. But it feels alien. Misplaced. I wish I were born differently so I could know what it's like to think like they do, and maybe the people and things around me would make sense. I don't know how to fix it. I'm sorry for that.

You know what. I disagree. Shadow's game is not about moving on from the past. It simply isn't.
It wants to be. It is presented as if it is a story about moving on from the past but the game's context doesn't allow this.

The branching paths system means there is no concrete journey. Just the beginning and end.
Second, the game FIRMLY establishes that Shadow DOES NOT KNOW WHO MARIA IS and learns about her through undocumented events across the games. The game does NOT firmly establish after the fact that Shadow LEARNS who she was. He cannot MOVE ON from a position he is not IN. Him tossing away the phtograph at the end of the game is him abandoning an identity that, from his perspective, he never had. He is learning about the story of this "Shadow" person secondhand, not first hand.
Shadow Generations seemingly either ignores or obfuscates this back to him fully remembering the ARK.

While the goal is to tell a story about moving on from trauma, they have not told it well.
