Why falcom keeps adding more characters when they can't even properly develop the main cast? Please give this a chance and read the whole thing. This comes from a place of love an optimism for sky 1st remake success.

With a month out from release and with Falcom and Gung-Ho no showing during Summer Game Fest and the latest Nintendo Partner Direct where millions of eyes around the world watching and the absolute disaster of Limited Run and Clear Rivers Games Preorders. I would like to bring the subreddit community together with maybe the mods help. A positive community driven campaign to respectfully encourage many content creators, YouTubers, streamers and reviewers to check out Sky 1st remake. I know this might fall on death ears and go nowhere. But I have been sitting on this idea for a while of a similar campaign to operation rainfall but to get the remake played and in the hands by many as possible.

We don’t know gung-ho and falcom plans for marketing outside of a possible Opening Night Live at Gamescom appearance or a late august Nintendo direct it will be too little too late. We know this is the one an only chance for trails to hit mainstream appeal. Personally I don’t agree with the lack of constant marketing and no lengthy appearance event showcases since 2025 started (not including VO casting and gung-ho town uploads) so far with no attempt of getting mainstream gaming media have some hands on previews and articles. Falcom own words of wanting Sky 1st to be a big success isn’t matching any action with the current subpar marketing. We have to put some form of pressure in falcom and gung-ho to market the game better right before launch.

Certain content creators and freelance reviewers and journalists who played trails contemporary like Persona, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, etc and have enough eyes and reach thru word of mouth to get their audience and casuals to try the sky remake.

I want Toby Fox to compose and/or arrange a Kiseki song for Falcom so the UT/DR fandom can be interested in this series.

Ys VIII feels weird to play. Seven felt like you were really working up to your big damaging skills with charge attacks and parries, even if it did take awhile to build up SP. In MoC you build up SP much faster and it felt like most of your damage came from using skills. In VIII however, it feels like you never have to attack normally at all, cause killing enemies with your skills refunds so much SP. Even during boss fights I find myself parrying and dodging more than attacking. The worst part, though, is how skills are barely any stronger than normal attacks. Hell, they usually deal LESS damage than spamming attack but they're usually better for reach. I'm usually just spamming the same skill over and over like 10-15 times to kill one of the bigger mobs. It's clear the game does want you to use skills since it rewards you with better materials, but man, aside from Sahad's, everyone's skills feel kinda bad to use. Is there something I'm missing or is the game really like this?

Wait, do people really have that hard of a time believing the Erebonia arc isn't popular? I was under the impression that people disliked it too. Both on 4chan and elsewhere. But I thought my opinion on it was pretty much the larger consensus? That it isn't as good as Sky or Crossbell but still pretty good?
I remember that much like when I finished Azure some people told me to get ready for the decline but I when into the arc just ready to take it in for what it was.
As for sales...I ain't the biggest expert but even I how have only used this general for maybe a year and a half have not once bought a single Falcom game the day it gets released. That's changing with Sky the 1st. People on the fence like me I feel really got pulled in around Reverie's western release as that's when you could finally play the series in order which dudes like The Kiseki Nut strongly endorsed and it just made sense to me to do in a series where the main selling point is arguably its continuity.

I feel Sky was at times so edgy it border on cringey, but the way the characters act, Joshua especially, merited that and so I respect the risk.

Yeah, the missable info on party members is a choice I have never liked. I think Falcom views that as an incentive to replay games so you can see every bond event but honestly even if I did that with games like Persona 4 and 5, I don't have the time or energy to do so nowadays. I think the answer is that he was looking forward towards the future that could be made through his actions. The theme of progress is peppered throughout Cold Steel, and the moment where Crow dies in Cold Steel 2 and tells them to move forward without looking back underlines this, and I think Osborne held true to the same principles. He did terrible, awful things, but it was all in the name of moving forward towards a future where Erebonia didn't live under the shadow of the past and he accepted that in order to finally destroy the shadows that he needed to cover himself with them.
