I think the most obvious comparison is Mirage. Except she's more spirit than gun as far as I can tell. She has good range damage and an invul. She's ultimately a hybrid character as her gun damage and mag size is pitiful but she passively builds up spirit burst when shooting an enemy. Her ult is also pretty good due to it's range and damage—which scales with how many times you've procced your passive. So you're kinda like a spirit M1 hero but you're not very mobile due to your AWFUL move/sprint speed and 2 stam. You're also quite squishy.

Vyper might be one of my favorite character kit designs in all of gaming. It's so simple but slithering around and throwing shit at the enemy feels incredibly fun.

12v12 only worked in tf2 because the of how the game works. Super simple, no moba items, no ultimate abilities, pretty much a movement/arena shooter + most things happening at cqc. Deadlock only has one map too. I don't think this would work. But workshop + community servers would absolutely help.

Pestering people with your abilities is always a good call, if you can aim. Most people wont want to take 3/4th's of their health as chip damage over the course of a minute so feel free to do that, but i'm pretty sure most people start with his ball. Farm, bully your lane, when you feel like you have free space (enemy dead, retreating/hiding) then you go jungle to farm OR go to another lane to put pressure on. You'll figure it out, it's not as complex as you'd imagine, but it can be a pain if you get bullied which in that case keep farming don't pretend you'll make a game changing play and dive 5 times in a row like too many freaks do, know your limit.

Not a fan. The most interesting part about her is her dash move and how her flavor of m1 debuff is burst damage but her design just does not feel that cohesive to me.

It feels like they were too afraid to make her too good. Her m1 feels like a balanced version of infernus debuff....which ends up making it feel pretty weak other than the ability to trigger stuff like mystic burst "for free". Also she does spirit damage with all of her bullets which is interesting too except it doesn't actually trigger certain spirit effects. Like I thought it was going to be really epic dual building for the items that are "weapon damage = spirit debuff" + "spirit damage = weapon debuff" but it doesn't seem to actually trigger the spirit effects from her m1?? You can build him around knives (get rapid recharge and decay), you can build him around gun, you can build mostly greens and out attrition people. His dash hits hard early if you hit the double dash so basically you should do well in lane, start roaming for kills, get them early with your dash and ult and then snowball late to be an unkillable tank that takes out 20 percent of each enemies health bar every teamfight. He not only requires his teammates to be competent but he also kind of needs to snowball a little early. On top of all of that, he has less than no utility. One of the reasons I recommended buying decay is because of this. Then even if you don't do well and you're useless late game, you can at least cut someone's healing.

They've been doing balance patches. This one was mostly content, though they did make some small system changes and map changes. Marvel Rivals could've been a game I spent a lot of time on if it tried to do its own thing instead of following the 6v6 Overslop formula. As it stands I just played the first season, remembered that this format sucks the fun out of everything and dropped it. Radiant regen + lifedrain is a big hp swing in any sidelane 1v1. You eventually start doing more damage than anyone at that stage with enough malice stacks. Remain in the sidelane saoking souls until you get big spikes like weighted shots and beserker, if you need more mobility to swap get warp stone.
