DB doesn't really do this friends-to-lovers thing. At least one character usually have hots for the other early on. Vegeta/Bulma was very out of blue, but they had fuck all interactions beforehand, so it's not like it changes an established dynamic. If Toriyama lived and wanted Super to continue, I find it highly doubtful Broly/Cheelai would be a thing despite the popularity of the pairing in the fandom, it's just not his style. Unironically Beerus/Cheelai has a better shot. Tough this could change if Iyoku gains the control of the franchise with how geared toward fanservice he is.

The difference is it needs to be the autism that comes from understanding the source material and yet wanting to do something with it that doesn't quite happen in it. If you try too hard to keep things the same, you end up like those youtube "what if" spammers that give abridged summaries of fanfic ideas that keep trying to get the plot back "on rails." If you try too hard to make things "better" than the source material you end up with shit like Multiverse and all its attempts to "outsmart" Dragon Ball. Not trying to do a little of either can also make for a boring story, though; it's all about the right balance.

When trying to take "good" ideas, you should see how they work with whatever premise you have for your fanfic first. If you have a fanfic idea like, for example, "AU where Goku and Caulifla are siblings" then working in some way to make "back tingles" sound less like Toei bullshit and more like something about martial arts and how Ki is channeled might be fine. But the same fanfic idea probably does not need an in-depth explanation on how Capsules shrink materials without violating known real-world physical laws.

Nah, it make perfect sense, Kaioshins are way weaker than GoDs but they need to work TOGETHER so you can't have the GoD killing the Kaioshin with impunity.

Except they are completely different? Kami and Piccolo's lifelink was protecting a bad guy by making killing also result in killing Kami and thus the Dragon Ball and then used to give tension because Piccolo dying (AKA the stronger half) in a fight = No more DBs.
Beerus and the Kaioshin's lifelink serves to create a weakness to a 'good' guy and allow bad guys to circumvent him entirely if they can get to Shin, which allow the plots to have bad guys who'd normally be handled by the GoD hierarchy rather than the MCs to still happen.
They literally have nothing in common.

Yes, desperately. All 3 of these games are for a niche audience, 2 of them are entirely PVP centered, not sure how the MOBA will turn out, but a lot of Legends' quality and features are sacrificed specifically because the only thing they need to worry about are stats and the meta.

If done right and with time and enough gambling addicts funneling money into it, the right gacha game could have a story more expansive than Kakarot's was, a roster that gradually becomes bigger than Sparking Zero, Xenoverse's longevity, and (depending on how the game is made) Heroes level What-ifs.

All movie villains are just reshades of a main story villain to some extent for better or for worse (broly and wheelo probably being the most unique of the bunch) issue with bojack is that its for the worse because they still don't know what to do with Gohan at that point. Gohan could develop as a character enough to be the main protagonist but it just never manifested.
Toriyama should've just made a villain who infiltrates the high school like the Super Hero manga to keep himself interested with some gags.

Personally I think the bojack thing is just a symptom of figuring out what to do with Gohan is really hard in fanfics. If you don't do what canon does and make him not train, he essentially obsoletes the rest of the cast extremely easily, and doesn't have as many character flaws that lets the plot happen to the degree goku and vegeta do, so he's just hard to write around unless he's the main character and this is specifically a gohan wankfest

I know this is probably gonna get me shit on but I actually do kind of like the general idea of son bra. It almost feels like a deconstruction of the idea of a gohan who never stops training, a gifted child born with shitloads of power who becomes the strongerest not through hardship but just by being born with that intristic power, and once they get to that apex it doesn't really make them happy, compared to gohan who went on to just have a wife and child.
Multiverse doesn't do this at all but conceptually it's kind of neat to me

No, it's actually a great idea in concept. Everything about playing with the early Gohan concept and tweaking it will always yield interesting results. The series should play with what the power each character has means to them more often. Only Goku gets explored to an acceptable degree.

The problem with that is that GT wasn't actually all that consistent with that, there exist scenes of Super Saiyan 3 Goku with a brown tail instead of gold. The next tournament after that one in the Quest happens after Freeza family invasion, which itself is post-Namek/space adventures. Next Mifan Tag Tournament Maple actually doesn't participate in because of said Namek/space adventures. After that there's nothing until Kai, with one World Tournament (that takes ideas from the one from the Bojack movie), one Otherworld Tournament (Gohan participates in it), and one Mifan Tag Tournament (the one where some odd but fun teams are featured, like Goku and Tarble, Videl and Kuriza, or Vegeta and Tien).
