What are the chances that Enneacraft becomes tier 1 on release? They have so many known counters that its hard to gauge.

I hate how the modern game plays REEEE Why aren't decks like TENPAI and Metalmorph the standard? I grab you by the freaking neck and ask why aren't 99% of decks like those two. Konami should know more people would get into the game if the duels required much fewer plays, I think any non-player can understand a deck like Metalmorph in less than 5 minutes of explaining

The problem with Tenpai isn't that it was an OTK deck, it's that it was an hyperconsistent engine that yes, became a handtrap Deck that would always open the 1 card OTK starter. Fuwalos and Purulia's existence just made this problem even worse.
It Tenpai was just a good engine that you could put on any Dragon Deck to make them good at going second no one would have complained

What you are asking for is actively powercreep though. Asking for decks to do more in less plays is absolutely giving them more power. Even worse, giving more compact plays in less cards enables you to ironically do more, as more compact engine space allows you to fit whole other decks into your existing deck. There's a reason why OCG decks are slapping in Fiendsmith and Shining Sarcophagus engines since their decks are so compact.
Hell, most of the decks you mentioned aren't even that complicated. The only one I'd say is massively complicated is Mermantlean.
I fail to see how Tenpai entering Battle Phase, summoning from Deck, searching, Synchro Summoning, reviving and spamming all in a single Phase is any less complicated than a Ryzeal turn which fundamentally just boils down to "Summon the guy that searches the guy that Summons itself to search another guy and make a Rank 4"
The real complication comes in the design space of giving every single fucking card 2-3 effects to fit a variety of situations, meaning cards and combos generally do more. But this sort of design isn't something you can walk back.
I would like to hear how you could streamline the complicated decks you have mentioned to do things in "fewer cards"

Imagine E-Hero Fusions with effects that can be activated from the Extra deck.

Make it retrain city then. I always liked the idea of the Burstinatrix / Clayman fusion, staying in defense mode and attacking directly (or was it 1000 effect damage?).
Retrain the Elemental ones to have useful effects (burstinatrix is obviously burn damage, perhaps 1000 whenever she's used for a fusion), and also retrain some of the OG fusions and give them that effect of searching from the Extra Deck for a Poly card so you can go full Jaden and always fuse your stuff if you have the monsters.

I think Yugioh would've been a lot more interesting if everything wasn't designed from a one-player perspective. Having more cards affect both players would be a lot more interesting. It's one of the things from the anime that I adored with shit like Flute of Summoning Dragons summoning Dragons from Yugi's hand too.
That, and it makes logical sense for stuff like Field Spells to function on both ends. Mignon boosting only YOUR Yummys for EVERY LIGHT Beast on the field is dumb. You made the field the domain of Yummy, why would an opponent's Yummy deck not benefit from that?
It would also add an interesting twist to mirror matches as your cards are benefitting you and your opponent simultaneously so you may be tempted to use less of them or substitute them with less-specific cards to avoid the crossover.

I just want a new Yugioh movie from the first 2 seasons, a remake, or a Yugioh live action film. How is this franchise so mishandled? It's the biggest non-western card game in the world, and back in the day it had so much pull within the West too standing shoulder to shoulder with giants like Pokémon and Dragon Ball, with varied videogames.
