However, this becomes less reliable the higher up you go for flanking. I use it more to finish off isolated targets. Or first use a slash (right click) and then that for potential assassinations.

portal (close to your target) --> demon --> primary --> E
At higher elos, your target will probably get healing, which makes the "classic combo" much less reliable. But still good and has its uses of course.

I just had a match like this. 2 DPS were bronze, less than 10 hours on their most played character.
2 leavers, both time filled DPS and alt f4d when they got bodied. Meanwhile I'm over here knocking a iron man out of the sky until he goes on wolverine and my teammates couldnt even kill the thing who was running straight into them for 10 seconds a time.

I’d start by adding role limits, so that you don’t end up with busted as fuck healers because expecting to balance a healer so that they’re viable as both a solo healer and in a 5 healer team is retarded. Then I’d remove all team ups except Rocket Groot shoulder ride, fast ball special, Cap Bucky shield bash, and Torch Thing cannon ball. Some of team ups can just become part of a character’s regularly kit, like Ultron’s team up with Ironman. That should name the game balanced overall because you’re not giving a team extra fire power just for playing certain characters. Then I’d increase the movement speed of all tanks. They move too slow and are such big targets for much CC the game has.

It seems to be something that happen consistently throughout the game too.

What you mainly did wrong is the positioning. Your team is expecting you to be the damage sponge absorbing and blocking most damages in the frontline, creating space for them.
Instead they are over extending and tanking damages while you're not even there at all.
It feels like you're not blocking, because you're not there at all.
The problem is not your blocking/attack/etc timing, it's solely a positioning issue.

In the Domination Krakoa map (Round 1), you were playing very close with your supports against a solo-tank Thing. You could stand to play with your Cap and Wolv more. And since you were going against a Wolv+Thing, you also should shield less. Melee attacks go through your shield. If they are punching you in the face, you punch them right back.

In Round 2, when Emma ulted, beforehand, you held out your shield for way too long. You could have prevented that push if you weren't trying to foolishly protect your Cap. There was no need for that. And then in the teamfight, you got Mamumum Pulse'd when you had full shield

After that death, not only did you make a portal after stalling for a bit, you took way too long to place the portal, and then you placed it in a bad spot, leading to your support dying, you dying, and 40% taken on the point for basically no reason. That second round in general was bad because the other team made adjustments to their play/comp and you didn't.

Round 3, fortunately, your team was able to pick up the slack. You were pretty much getting bullied by the Emma for most of the round while not contributing much. It can be tough matchup for Strange but everyone more or less gets bullied by Emma. You did have a good Ult in the end.

For the most part, you just need to pay attention to your comp, the enemies comp, and play more forward. Also, do you know any other Vanguards or like playing as other vanguard?

I uninstalled again today. Quickplay is sweatfest and its not fun being expected to carry shitters every game against diamond+ stacks and ranked is smurf and engagement manipulation central. I don't care what they add in the future I'm not coming back at least not until months later or if a really compelling hero gets added.
