Te main problem with it is they didn't fix issues that people pointed out a few months after the original released like the absolute dogshit enemy scaling and difficulty settings. Or really basic as fuck QoL things like being able to forget spells or a gore system to make meele feel less wooden. Remasters should be seen as a second chance for a game with as many changes as possible within the original vision of course. I can still go play the original for the original expeience, you have the opportunity to actually fix big mistakes with a new release, fucking use it.

Just logging the adventures of Neera the Redguard for the first time

Ever since the death of her parents at the hands of a group of necromancers led by a vampire, Neera has lived on the streets of Windhelm begging for scraps and trying to earn any honest coin she could. She found no kindness from the Nords, instead keeping warm on the coldest nights in the dark corners of the Dark Elf quarter.

The runic symbols on her skin were a product of the necromancers and their vampire leader, who ritualistically drained her of her "dragon blood"...whatever that means. As she matured she found herself often the object to slake the lust of those that had once despised her and was also treated as a plaything to some of those who had even offered her shelter.

Though things have somewhat recently taken a darker turn. She's lost any semblence of belonging or peace as a local higher social status nord had begun to coerce her into sex regularly, filling her belly and even giving her enough coin. This combined with her earnings from the nearby farms led her to have the privilege of being a near permanent tenant of the local inn, no longer needing to sleep in the snow...though she wasn't able to offer naught but shelter to the unfortunate urchins who wandered the streets as she did.

Sadly her arrangement was abruptly ended when the wife of the nord saw them together...a man with a foreign girl less than half his age! Though the woman didn't stop Neera when she fled the house, she was a day later attacked on her way back to Windhelm after a hard day's labor on the field.

With a wood cutting axe she ended the life of a thug sent to end her own! Taking his meager iron blade and running off into the wilds...with no plan and a detached, surreal mix of feelings. She had no tears left to shed. The sound of wind through the pines, water along the creeks, and the sound of her own breathing.
