PoE2's Atlas needs to have fixed boundaries. Make it smaller and so that you can reach the edges. Have insanely hard and juiced maps there, or just weird unique maps. Then have the ability to beat a boss to reset the atlas and "try again" with Doriyani.
That also helps to reduce citadel RNG if they are naturally closer to the edge. I think the Atlas has an issue where I want it to be the further I get from the center the more dangerous and weird it becomes, but right now it is just an infinitely scrolling landscape. I mean even the PoE1 Atlas has the idea that the further you get away from the start the higher tier the maps are. It just feels unnatural that something right next to the center is the same as something 10,000 nodes away.

Actually, I was someone who wanted a campaign skip in PoE1 for a long time. Then after playing D4 and seeing its campaign skip I completely understand why it is a terrible idea. The burnout is magnified 10 times. The game feels incredibly shallow when you're doing the same few activities from the very beginning of level 1. There needs to be a delineation between campaign and end game.
However, I do believe that it would be okay to have waypoints unlocked account wide per league so that your 2nd and beyond characters can complete the campaign faster but cannot outright ignore or skip it, merely just get around quicker.

That being said, I like PoE2's campaign, I just dislike the latter part of Act 3 and a few of the bosses across it. I think the Djinn lady is still cancer to fight as pure melee. I am looking forward to the campaign being completed.

Finally: I also think we need to move away from all ARPGs being focused around "end game" it won't work. It can't work. It is fine for PoE. It is a f2p live service game that has been in development for over a decade. If Diablo IV wants to compete in that space, fine, that is up to Blizzard's retarded ass. What is NOT fine is me seeing people on the Titan Quest 2 forums complaining about a lack of end game or begging for a mapping system. TITAN QUEST IS NOT ABOUT AN END GAME LOOT TREADMILL. In a weird way PoE2 is even more focused on zoom zoom than PoE1. You can do plenty of content that isn't reliant on giga move speed, you have ultimatum, blight, expedition, legion to some extent, abyss, syndicate, etc. Depending on what your build excels at you can almost always find a niche for it unless you're playing some chainhook tier meme bullshit.
In PoE 2 movement speed and map rushing is literally the ONLY thing you care about because every second wasted is a second you're not spending getting to the next tower, or citadel, or whatever the fuck they add next. wowow look at your super tanky build, too bad it performs identical to a deadeye in maps and gets deleted by the boss's MMO attacks all the same. ooo super cool look at all that damage, enjoy bursting the boss to nothing 4 seconds faster. Realistically, not talking about perfect TAS gaming, you need to have at least okay items to do the end game content. Basic stuff like having all of your elemental resistances at maximum. Having enough HP that you can take a few hits without dying. Enough damage that you can realistically beat an enemy before dying of old age.
