I watched some VTMB2 gameplay and it looks like brainless fun, but I see they cut way too many RPG elements. If only they didn't call it Bloodlines 2 I think people would have received this game a lot more warmly. Inquisitor with Cypher Soul blade.
Flames of Devotion+Soul annihilation plus discount for cypher spells.
RP wise, Cypher offers ton of extra dialogue/reacticity.
Two hander and dual wield both work (be it bittercut or using stilleto/rapier or maybe even combos like rapier/flail).
Dex is key for faster focus build up and spell speed.
Then Intellect for lasting buffs debuffs and perception, so your shit lands.
Then whatever you can spare for might.

Sworn Enemy/Rival ,Eyestrike, Retribution and Draining whip are good early picks.. Echoing horror is a great debuff to apply whenever you kill.
As for gear, remember that fire damage boosters apply for flame of devotion.
Shit that gives pierce and might (since your starting would be low) are good.

People have solo'd PotD with this, but it really likes chanter and one more frontliber.
For skills, I'd say focus on alchemy.

I don't understand why spell slots are a thing. Level 1 you could cast magic missile twice, which does an average of 3.5 damage each. Sure it's a guaranteed hit 99.9% of the time but even then, it's still gonna take like 4 casts to kill Dave the Barbarian with his 13hp. While he can quite easily 1 bang you with his big meaty club.

You must imbue the letters with alchemy - same way you need weird crap like tails and hearts in Pathfinder to craft them.
Raistlin does throws a sand in the air when he casts a LVL1 sleep spell. Imagine how much junk you need to carry around to scribe a lvl6 spell?
That's first - second is that you must have a reference to scribe it at all. A spellbook. Wizards are rather rare in DND outside of "Karsus chronicles" but magic was more potent during Karsus's time anyway.
Take Priests for example - Unless God notices you and blesses you, you can't become a priest.

No romances? That's an instant buy. At the very least, I know the developers are genuinely putting effort into the game and focusing on what’s IMPORTANT and NEEDED for players, not catering to those who haven’t gone outside to touch grass in years.

Despite everything, I’m looking at the game with optimism and hoping for a worthy representative of the genre. And I’m glad that real developers aren’t stooping to making cosplay porn games on RPG Maker.

Finished Oblivion remaster - it was a pretty nostalgic and absolutely visually stunning experience. Not so much in the roleplaying sense since I became the guildmaster of everything and master of all skills.

Finished Doom of Icewind Dale - the unofficial now official continuation of the NWN OC. Was a great experience from every PoV and definitely Luke's best module (he made Siege of Shadowdale, Crimson Tides of Tethyr, Tyrants of the Moonsea and Darkness Over Daggerford).

Finished Outer Worlds - a solid roleplaying experience from a mechanical PoV, but I was bored by the setting. Still worth a play.

Now I'm going to gape the HECK out of some trannies on honor mode and then Outer Worlds 2 will come around. Witcher 3 final DLC is also coming up in 2026 and we also have Clockwork Revolution on the horizon.
