It depends on how much charity you are willing to give them all. Most of Ian's mistconceptions about Sonic came from SatAM having him be a freedom fighter in the first place.
That aside, Ben Hurst seems to oddly have a decent understanding of Sonic, but this is only portrayed in interviews and the pilot episode of the show.

Sonic Underground is more or less SatAM Sonic with fewer 90s catchprases and no romantic interest, but it does at least contain the sentence "Free like the wind"

As I've said before, they should have gone a more technical route with the game. Make it redoubt but with sonic, with circuts that gradually get more difficult. The one good decision they made was separating characters from cars. The Sonic cast of the game is practically the the entire recurring cast, plus Sage, Zavok and Zazz.

The crossover DLC consists of the most popular Sega characters besides Sonic, rather than other Sonic Team characters or Ulala.

Replaying through the Dark Souls trilogy and while I know it's not really adequate to compare to two franchises, I really cannot get over the fact that Dark Souls has a lore that is teased just enough for anyone to pay attention to form their own narrative and how in comparison absolutely barren Sonic is in comparison.

Just simple item descriptions with 2 or so sentences are enough to link areas and happenstance together enough to at least beg the question. Sonic these days doesn't even dare to establish something as hardline canon even if it's directly referenced in previous entries.

Again not to say that the two are comparable on an emotional or story-telling level, it's just something I seem to deeply yearn for in his franchise. Just *something* that is spelled out enough for anyone paying attention to connect the dots but would otherwise glance over the head of someone who just wants mindless fun. FYI this cat, depending on how you take the lore, may or may not have been the sole reason why Artioras and the Abyss Watchers even came to being.
