Legion had the longest expansion development cycle by a mile (just after WoD). WoD sucked so much shit that they cancelled an entire zone, raid tier, and final content patch for the expansion, just to focus on Legion.
Also on the other side of Legion's launch, I don't think there was a single artifact weapon, m+ dungeons, order hall questline, world quest, etc. that didnt have major bugs in it for several months after launch.
Legion was the expansion of throw literally everything at the wall and seeing what stuck,and it was a lot of shit too but newfags wouldn't know.

I'll be honest, seeing Midnight not have a killer feature for me to enjoy really sucks but who knows, maybe house will be so good that it draws me in. But right now, I'm kinda bummed.

I liked the gameplay reveal because I thought the zones looked vibrant and the dungeon screenshots look cool, also I love the raid structure.
