Yea im also losing motivation, apart from WC/DM (which take an hour each) everything else just got its HP boosted and some annoying aoe/stun added.
WSG is 40 min queue in my level range and i havent lost a single one.
I picked warmode but its pointless since i have maybe seen 10 alliance who were flagged, but it does not matter because you dont get tokens for killing them.

Yea honestly the epoch overworld kinda sucks. Some places like razor hill and gold shire got massive overhauls, other places no changes at all, basically.
Except 1 or 2 quests that weren't designed with 8 k people in mind.
despite the number of people. dungeon groups remain a chore.
its crazy when you realize that 2k pop and RDF would make for a better server.
overworld would still be 3/10 though, just not enough consistent quality.
whoever did DM, WC, Goldshire, razorhill got killed I guess.

new races don't have any design, it's just a copy-paste skin that they didnt make. the goblin zone was awful and the high elf zone was just weird, no transition from the 1-5 area to the rest of the area, level 2 mob next to the level 7 strider, mobs way too densely packed together
and also festering with hardcore players I cant interact or group with and they just get in the way

It's just lazy TBC talents whereas with Turtle they actually have custom Vanilla+ talents, and Turtle has way more content.

It's not that complicated.
A lot of people have tried Turtle and decided it isn't for them, whereas Epoch was shiny, new, and promising. Turtle has also been around much longer and has had significantly more time to develop and add onto custom content. SoD was also just Retail-, not Classic+, and missed many of the aspects of what made vanilla WoW good.

I think both servers are good, I just felt like trying Epoch since I've tried Turtle in the past.

Their normal form spell does decent damage but the class has no way to get mana unlike priest with their spirit tap and warlocks with their life tap. This means I have to sit and drink water after almost every mob. Mages also sort of have this problem but at least they can conjure water for free and they get a bunch of other utility like superior cc for a smoother experience + aoe shenanigans.

Getting bearform doesn't help as you only start out with 2 spells when you first get it so it's like back to being level 1 again except the mobs you are fighting have a fuck ton of health so it just takes ages.

Nah, I'm done. This has been a pretty disappointing server, especially considering the hype.

Very bland changes which vary from boring to kind of annoying and immersion breaking. It's basically a downgrade on the original formula. I haven't seen a single thing which has been genuinely impressive. The whole thing comes across as being undercooked and amateurish, and that's just the in-game content let alone the developer drama surrounding launch. For the vast majority of my time, the only noticeable change is that mob hp is way higher and there's an extra quest or two in every zone. Yeah there's like a handful of new micro zones and shit but they're so fleeting and generic that I can barely remember them already.

I expect the ascension guys realized that and just took the opportunity for some free publicity, fully aware the ecosystem will go into terminal decline within a month.

They slapped TBC talents on top of Wotlk systems and called it a day.
Problem is that TBC/WOTLK systems/talents had balance build around stats like armor pen and haste, both of which are non-existent in vanilla itemization.

Had fun in my Deadmines run today. Our hunter got mad at our arms warrior tank for needing on the two handed axe that dropped off Sneed. He said he is a two hand axe spec hunter and the warrior is a tank so he shouldn't need on things for his offpsec. The tank proceeded to say he uses it for leveling and was saying it might help his threat if he tanks two handed. The hunter then got mad saying it wouldn't do more threat due to not having DPS stats (as it just has stam and spirit). I guess he didn't see the irony in stating that.

I'll get Shield Slam at 35 I think, then Devastate at 44. I honestly might spec out of Tactical Mastery and just go into anticipation. More defence skill means more revenge procs which means more threat and damage, I suppose.

You arent going to be pulling threat or have the rage to keep threat and you're group is going to hate you for being so slow. +Defense doesnt matter at low level since you arent getting Crushed. Just get Imp Thunder Clap and use a shield in Defense Stance.

After a couple more dungeons as a tanking warrior, I ran into a new type of guy

Higher level warrior who actually complained I was marking things, said "low level dungeons aren't that serious". He was all pedal to the metal, didn't care what he pulled, how he was gonna get healed, or whether i would be able to peel off threat. Cue him pulling 3 groups and wiping the party. I say "let's not charge into a group like that". They just ragequit lmao. We went on to 4-man the rest of the instance and it was easier with him letting me do my job.

Rend doesn't meaningfully scale until wrath, here the bonus damage from scaling contributes literally like 2-3 damage over the entire duration
It's still worth picking up imp rend because there's nothing else to spend rage on until you get slam, at which point you can safely spec out of it
Get improved thunderclap too because 20% attack speed slow is way too good to pass up
