It's the same as HA, the SOL is the story. If you strung the actual main plot relevant sequences in KT together in a row they'd be very short. The whole point of the game is 1) the slice of life fun scenes and 2) solving the mystery. Figuring out how to advance the plot IS crucial to the experience. And, again, it's not that bad. Yes, it looks very intimidating when you lay it all out, but the only really tricky thing is to get the Arc version of the photo you get from the quiz (and maybe a few other minor bits I'm forgetting).

The reason I made this post is to warn others not to go down the same path I did.

I got extremely addicted to gacha gaming about a year ago. Starting with an innocent looking game called Seven Knights.

I started of as F2P, eventually got tired of being behind everyone. I started buying these $1 USD packs the game had. Then moved on to packages, then hero banners. I probably spent around $2000 on Seven Knights in the first 3 months of playing.

Seven Knights got old after that and I didn’t want to spend any more money so I quit. It was too late as the addiction had already set in. I began getting hooked again on another game, Valkyrie Connect. Same trend began again, got tired of being behind, spend a few small $, then led to $$$.

This went on and on for a few more games until I checked my iOS purchase history one day because I was bored. The realization set in when I calculated that I spent roughly $15,000 on pixels and codes on a screen that would not help me at all in life.

Long story short, I got professional help immediately and managed to break myself out of the Gacha Hell.

To those going through the same thing I did or feel like they will, please stop and get help. It is a dangerous path.

I have tried to get into 8 or so different gachas in the span of a couple of years and none of them managed to hook me because of how trash they are in every aspect, be it the character writing, the story writing, the gameplay and even the production values. All of which is understandable why it is so, but it makes it one of the most restricted mediums to tell the story in. It has barely anything to do with what VNs are about, save for some exceptions. Also, one of the preeminent properties of VNs is that they allow for a better exploration of characters and themes of their story via multiple routes, right? Is there anything like that in gachas that doesn't break the immersion?

to elaborate since this seems to be the main issue with the game - they're supposed to be friends that have lived in the city for a few months, but we barely get to see them interacting, time just sorta passes between scenes, they get together for stuff sometimes, but it doesn't give off the impression of them being friends. Its a bit hard to gauge their characters too, thats how few interactions they have. They live alone and are supposed to work but we don't even know what the MC or Sachi does for a living (unless I forgot some offhanded mention).
The whole confession into sex happens within a single day. Thats insane tempo. MC developing feelings is super sudden too, but this might be due to plot reasons with the Baroque powers letting them share feelings to some extent - could be the case that he developed feelings for her in response to her feelings flowing into him.

never did this for once... i gave the Question Arc an 8/10 because i loved the mystery and the characters when they weren't written with "depths" but i believed from the depths of my heart that R07 will keep the Answers Arc on par regarding the mystery...

If i knew the answers to the mystery would be like this? i would have done it from the first couple of minutes, but how can i know? Questions arc presented quite the strong ge that make you think about it in depths and try to solve everything... the point that made me understand this ge will get the worst answers possible was with chapter 6... and at this point? am not going to stop because of 2 chapters and leave this bitter taste on my mouth forever ^_^
