Depths allows you to swap the default weapon type of your class through relics.
Raider also has a relic that gives him a ton of ARC.
So Fists Raider with something like the Star Fist will be really strong and way easier to use.

It was a one off endgame fight that was incredibly fun and engaging and only required you to make an elemental weapon - not a good example of a shitty gimmick filled fight that obstructs actual gameplay. The "gameplay" being obstructed here is in menus before you even hunt.
