I feel like bat spell has come in clutch for me in a lot of fights. Against aggro abyss/dragon, the early healing sources throws a bit of a wrench in their "UNGA BUNGA SWING FACE" plan. In the midgame bats + vuella + SEVO bat, or Olivia+bats double SEVO has given me relevant healing to pull myself out of range of Albert or a CQCQ midrange abyss cerb turn.

It's not all upside, but I think it's worth it. Cerb's most powerful plays are from her fanfare, not her SEVO. It's also only 3 cards in the deck that can mess with cerb's SEVO, so in many games cerb can still SEVO just fine.

I'm not sure how well things are going to fare for me in stage 2. My matches this time were:

>CQCQ midrange abyss
>Spellboost rune
>Spellboost rune
Overall I feel great vs stuff like ward haven/ramp dragon/all flavors of abyss. Sword and roach are a bit of a tossup, and normally my matchup vs spellboost is abysmal. Aragavy came in clutch tonight vs roach and both spellboosts and helped me storm face before they could combo out.

I finally hit 500 wins. 172 of those forest wins are as tempo. If the next set wasn't so close I would fully animate both haven decks but I will probably wait.

That's sort of the point, you try not to play her early unless you got evo ready and either 1 shieldmaiden or otherwise 2 wards up to protect against Anne. If Rune plays Bergent instead they have to trade it fully into you and that's good for you since you can ignore or deal with Anne with your higher drops after the first playable turn. If you spawn Sarissa on Aether, then super-evo and that's just as good too. If you're just playing her straight then you're playing it wrong against Rune, you only suicide her out turn 2 against like sword or abyss or something you need a body early for.

As someone who has played every deck, my opinion is that Sword is the real problem in the meta. Rune has one admittedly insanely bullshit uninteractive instawin combo, but besides that one thing they've got fucking nothing besides a lot of healing. Meanwhile Sword is a menace at every single stage of the game and can outgrind and outvalue everything else. Gildaria really should NOT have had the Rally effect, but she's only the most obvious problem. Every single turn Sword can put out a giant board that you HAVE to clear at all costs, because you can never ever let yourself get below 12 HP or you're going to get hit by Albert. This makes their supposed weakness to chip damage due to having very little healing not much of a weakness at all, since you can't just go face against them.

The thing is, I have no idea how you fucking fix this. It's not like Rune where one small change can really bring it in line, basically every card Sword has is busted out the ass in some way. I still don't know why the FUCK Valse is allowed to deal 5 on fanfare, no evolve requirement or anything.
