I used to play Monster Hunter World a long time back. I think I originally played in 2017 with friends, but stopped because our group had a falling out. Picked it back up in 2020 during the pandemic, but got filtered so many times due to Kushala Daora.

I'm curious if Wilds has been optimized enough that it's in a stable condition. Also, is there any difference I need to know between Worlds and Wilds?

I love Wilds and all previous MH titles (Except Iceborne) and in my experience, they have improved the performance far better than launch on my rig (7600x + 4070ti Super)

I was having 60-70 fps 1440p High with DLSS on launch, now I have 100-115fps 1440p High without upscaling or framegens, though I cannot in good conscience recommend buying Wilds at the current state. Wait for TU4 for the promised optimization or wait for the G rank expansion. Should I resub back to XIV? Haven't touched it since 7.2

Bad optimization aside, Wilds' first half is basically ARR. You don't advertise FF with ARR, do you? The rest of the game are objectively solid MH through and through. I said solid, not good. Not entirely. For what it's worth, the learning curve of each weapon is easier than ever. Experiences in World will translate easier to Wilds.

Personally I don't recommend Wilds. Not yet. At least with ARR you will have HW and so on. Here, nothing but the same of something that you already know. Just play World, but this time use different weapon. Or play Rise. Or GU.

Fair point. I'll probably still give it a try and see if its suitable enough to run (a crash here or there is okay in my books) on my PC. I've tolerate shitty game updates because of games like Dead by Daylight breaking everything and having to wait weeks or months for them to fix it.

In my personal opinion, I would give it a try when they release 7.35 with the Deep Dungeon and the Monster Hunter collaboration. Try that content out for a few weeks and then GTFO until January or February. To be fair, it was really the only one I got filtered on. All the ones prior were from dumb mistakes and I just retried after trial and error. Kush was a literal brick wall that I couldn't get over, even playing super safe. (I'm the type of person that likes to do a fight normally. You "should" be able to run at medium, 1080p, 60 fps with framegen but I'd wait for a heavy discount, & to see what they're going to do for TU4's "performance & stability" patch, if anything.
Right now for a lot of users, every time they update it, the game introduces some form of instability and sometimes crashes, also has a 50% chance to require you to manually delete your shaders.

I'm 2pc Zoh, 2pc Rey Gamma and 1pc AT Tuna.
This gives me very slight regen to ignore most chip from blocks with SnS and still gives me Lords Soul for 1 free life and 5% Raw. Plus the basic stuff like max agi, wex, mm, and also gives me 2 Latent Power so max out my affinity so I don't need gore.
I tested mixing in Gore the DPS over a 5 to 10 minute fight is exactly the same, only now I have very slight regen so I can block a lot more if I need it.

5800x3D is an unobtanium because it's their first attempt at 3D V-cache and the yields from silicon wafers weren't great so they haven't produced that many of them. 5700x3D is what you should be looking for. The only valid complaint here is the small roster of 9* monsters. Bitching about their health and damage when everyone and their grandmas has bitched that monsters die too fast and don't do enough damage is really pathetic.

I just did my first treasure quest and that was fun. They managed to make gathering fun because you never know what items you'll get. I wonder why they never brought this back in the new games. I guess it's because they opted for different side modes like prowler mode or rampages. It's interesting though because it likely means we'll have a totally new side mode in the next portable along with whatever main gimmick they'll have. I'm excited for that

Depending on your answer, I may or may not recommend Sunbreak.
So for example, if you play Dual Blades, then there's no point in getting Sunbreak, since you're exchanging one form of one-dimensional spam (Demon Flight in the base game) with another form of one-dimensional spam (Spiral Slice in Sunbreak).
Insect Glaive however is a big improvement in Sunbreak. Not only do you actually get weapon variety (instead of just being stuck with Narga IG being objectively a million times better than any other option), the new things IG gets in Sunbreak are really fun.

Yes cause capcom doesn't have autosave on YET for reinforce and the rolls are fixed based on crafting order for each weapon. Basically roll some throw away weapons, reinforce them and if you see something you like back to title without saving, load again and then craft the actual weapon with the desired rolls. E.g. you craft five throw away weapons, first two reinforce to shit but the third one looks good, reload, craft two throw away weapons again and then for the third one your actual target weapon.

by batching, you "save" 10k zenny not reinforcing the losers but you still have to craft them (lose the parts and 10k) to advance the table

Well they replaced the drinking ale gesture with the drinking tea gesture in rise and the food is all dango so you can't eat 2 drink ingredients to get drunk. No idea why it's not in wilds though. Overall it's probably just a way to improve the series image in the eyes of the public. Same reason they replaced blood splatters with dust rocks in world and why blood is heavily toned down in rise to the point where it's nearly imperceptible unless you're really looking for the animation because the crit flashes really drown it out

if you drop 1 level of Agitator and can get 2 (or more) levels of LP then it's worth it, otherwise a 1 for 1 trade isn't enough

in this case, if you're okay with dropping from Agitator 4 to 3 AND losing lagi set bonus, you can get LP 3

i can run the numbers in like 20-30 minutes
