Way I see it the faction plotlines(Crimson Fleet, UC ect) count as side quests, so I can at least complete these before abandoning the character. The game doesn't really have a proper ending, at least not for the Main Quest. You just go to the Unity and can get an epilogue for the faction quests you've finished, then hop into the next Universe/NG+. There is another mod that lets you go to the Unity early too.

I mean actual new factions/guilds you can join that have their own questline, probably not since Creation Engine 2 is notoriously shitty. I don't remember if you had to go to the The Eye specifically, but in some of alternate universes, you're usually given some of the artifacts and are pointed to where to find the rest

Shattered Space lets you join the original House Va'ruun faction but not the Zealots. You can however convince them to restart the Serpent's Crusade at the end of the questline which will replace the Zealots.

The alternate universes are selected at random. Sometimes you might get them, but usually you're thrown into the main game just after the events of Vectera, which also gives you the option of skipping most of the main quest by telling everyone you're a Starborn. How are people still playing Cyberpunk? The game isn't that long and outside of the multiple endings (which can't be played past) it's just an Ubisoft open world with copy pasted missions. The world is like a worse Saints Row experience. It isn't really satisfying to explore city blocks with random enemy zones and 0 environmental story telling. Are there any big overhaul mods yet that make the game fun?
I wanted to love this game, got it day one and have just under 200 hours on it.
But its just hasn't really clicked with me bros.
I think the biggest hangup for me is the Unity. I don't want to leave my universe and do tons of New Game+ runs.
Like if it was time travel and I could go back in time to do New Game+ I'd be more open to it.
Because from a narrative place it'd allow me to correct mistakes, prevent deaths, etc.
But just abandoning my home universe to go to another gives me an uncanny valley feel.
Like you're not "my" Sarah, Sam, Noelle, etc. It's not "my" universe. It's another I invaded.

On top of that, a lot of the biggest components of the game I'm just genuinely not interested in.
Exploring is not fun. Planets and moons are empty, which makes sense lore-wise, but not great in-game.
Building outposts is not fun. And not having access to their resources without being physically there sucks.
I've spent tons of hours in the ship builder, but mostly out of frustration with things just not working out right.
I like having a smaller ship that's more personal, not a huge starship that can house an army, etc.

Combat is pretty good. The weapon and armor tier system sucks though.
Powers can be fun, but there's only a small handful I've used. Like I never touch half the shouts in Skyrim.
Leveling up powers is a headache as well, and is mainly tied to New Game+ runs. I don't want to do that.

I just want to stick to a single save file. No New Game+ alternate universe bullcrap.

The apathy from the devs and the modding community is sad. I like Starfield well enough because I'm a middle aged dad that can't play games much. It had been a food game to drop in and play sporadically through the week, but I ran out of shit to do a while ago. Bethesda should have revealed some kind of new content by now, but it almost feels like they've abandoned it. That reflects in the modding community since half of all the mods out there are non-functioning due to negligence and even the paid bullshit has tapered off to basically nothing.

This fucking game had potential, but no one is doing a goddamn thing with it. All I want is a good hardcore difficulty overhaul and no one has even tried to produce something of the sort. It's all just half assed skins, .ini tweaks, and Star Wars garbage.

I'm around 10 hrs in, when does the game start coming together into something coherent? I want to like it but so far it's just been really boring. I'm trying really hard to like it, it's kind of fun but there's so much stuff inbetween that makes it feel like a slog, there's too much pointless running around. The lack of good moment to moment gameplay could be made up for if the writing, quests and dialogue were really good but so far they're just not. I have done nothing but what feels like menial MMO tier fetch quests up to this point, surely it gets better. Go to this planet to talk to this one person, then go to another planet to grab a thing, then go back to the first planet before you go dock on a ship to talk to another person who then tells you to grab another item from another far flung planet.
