Mentats are very powerful tools, but only as powerful as the information you put into them like any computing device. I think if a mentat had access to other memory (like Paul did, as he was essentially trained as a mentat), they'd would have no issues finding a cure, but without other memory, the knowledge of the disease is only held by the Bene Gesserit who claimed when the Baron tried to force a cure out of them that one didn't even exist anyway.

I've read the six books by Frank, the two sequel books by Brian, the Schools of Dune trilogy by Brian, and am reading the Prelude to Dune trilogy currently on House Atreides right now. His sequel books were pretty boring but the Schools trilogy was actually enjoyable and I'm liking the Prelude book(s) so far.

Any sane fucking dev who actually liked themselves and had self respect would have looked at the list of cosmetics and said "Wow, people really got into the Atr/Hark/Choam base building/cosmetics scene, maybe we should add in more skins for both factions for clothing and weapons so people can roleplay it more, no one will be disappointed that they could customize all the gear to be more faction based"

Why am I still having fun playing this game as a solo pve carebear even after doing everything there is to do in the game currently? I even dabbled in pvp a bit fighting over control points, got ganked plenty of times harvesting spice and ore in the DD, finished all the quests, explored almost every POI in the game except for a few scavenger camps, I'm not exaggerating, I've done everything, but I still feel comfy and happy when I log in and do my chores and then go plundering in the DD even though I have no reason to do so.

If you could repair your vehicles to full every time, you wouldn't need to ever craft new parts and use resources on them. Repairing equipment also uses very little resources. It's crafting new shit that costs a lot.

The only thing that has made it bearable really right now is I play with my buddy who farms shit as much as me if not more sometimes solo so we can merge our DD resources to make shit the large spice refinery, shit is built for a crawler with the 10k load intake for it

We're nearly at the point to build the crawler and a carryall but I just need to farm more spice infused plast for all the blueprints that were available on my server this week for the vehicle vendor.

At least the building is fun, I love building autism pyramids in DD.

There's a decent chunk of 200ish hours of gameplay before you hit the 'endgame' so you do get a lot in the base game. Still doesn't change the issues that exist in DD, but it's much better than it was. Has one of the best build systems I've seen in a survival build craft without a doubt.

They should add rad zones to the DD, like in Sheol. In the large spice fields even.
