Regardless, stopping and aiming in a quick paced action game will be hard to make it feel good. Repositioning is fine of course and they'll probably add more of that through multiple mechanics since they themselves said they want to keep combat fresh. You might want to try endfield though, since they are making so you can't generally dodge so healing, items and positioning will be more important.

This trial mode is an awesome feature. I hope every 5-star limited resonator gets something like this.

Catering to men by releasing woman after woman is clearly, CLEARLY not working for Kuro. Their banner sales keep dropping, fans keep complaining and asking for more men to be released but what do they do? Keep introducing more women. Kuro doesn’t know that the real backbones of most fandoms that these gooners are scared of are women, fujoshi’s and fudanshi’s. How do they think hoyo fandoms, which they hate with such a passion, build up so much popularity? They keep on insisting that women sell more but last I checked their banner sales were plummeting faster than I can blink. Hoyo fandoms eats up male related content every time and they have something to work off whereas wuwa gives practically nothing. Kuro is still stuck with the mentality that they might have a big break by continuing to release women. I wish they would wake up and realize they need to stop wasting time dropping woman after woman and start introducing more men to the game. They also need to stop sidelining the men they already have, giving them minor rolls every chance they get. It’s just sad to see a game with so much potential fall from grace like this.

I'm still really enjoying this feature, because it at least gets to show me the full character movesets of these limited resonators, and I get to see whether or not I actually enjoy just hitting things with them.
So far, the biggest surprise is Roccia.
I actually like her moves more than Cantarella and Camellya. I didn't expect that.
Her bonks with her suitcase weapon feel very impactful (like I'm swinging around a giant boulder), and I like that repeated pogo hopping she does with her aerial slams.
Camellya's aerial whipping stuff is fun, but I don't like her normal attack moveset. It's just more twirly sword swings. I wish she actually used those red whips on her shoulders instead of a sword for her moveset.
Cantarella is just confusing. I'm still trying to figure out the whole water thing she's got going on.
But after doing this trial, I definitely now want to get Roccia.

I have absolutely zero qualms with paying money to reward good developers, but I never want to drop money just because of poor planning and low impulse control on my part.
I'm gonna use these trials and YouTube video moveset showcases to determine who I really, really want to get.
So far, there are only a few characters I don't care about.
For example, I recently finished the Mt. Firmament story quest that gave me temporary control of Jinshi, and even though I really love her visual design, I just don't like her moveset at all. So I have zero interest in saving any resources for her.
I feel the same way about Ciaccona. I haven't gotten to try her out personally, but I saw some videos on YouTube showing her moveset, and the whole music schtick she's got going on just didn't click with me. Plus she looks ugly. She's another character I'm not gonna bother saving up for.
Again, as I've said in previous posts, I don't give a shit about metafagging. Apparently Ciaccona is an important support character. I'm just gonna figure out a way to work without her.

I actually wished she leaned more into the whip stuff. I hate that her basic left click moveset is basic sword swings. (It's one of my pet peeves with WW. There's just too much sword representation in the game.)
