Hello fellow Travelers of Eterra, been lurking the wastelands and fractured timelines for a while. Just hopped back into Last Epoch, and holyyyy fuck, the game is awesome. Also Season 3 just launched on August 21st.

I'm leveling up bearmaster and it feels like shit to control. I'm using the command attack button but the bear feels so durdly. He hits like a truck but I wish I could command him to just barrel through shit

I have no idea what to play.

I played Abomination Necro last patch with the retarded snapshotting, and I think it'll just feel bad to play now when it's not hitting for 10 million while I'm simultaneously basically immortal. I already played Paladin and VK to death too.

I've never played any rogue class or summoner BM though. Tempted but no idea where to start.

got super lucky with my first harbinger (well maxed out one). made early beast master not as bad as it could have been

Running judgement sent for the campaign just to get through it and gear up another character, and holy shit this build is insane. I know people talked about sent being strong but this straight up feels like cheating.

Does anyone else have this problem where all your MTX are unequipped when you leave the game and come back or sometimes it happens when you load into a new area? It's making me not want to play. I tried googling it but it seems like no one posted about this problem. Had no problems last season.

Bear EQ is retardely strong.
Had to replay campaign Lagon fight 5 times because the bear kept killing him in one phase and the zone was locked by tentacles and there was no way to get his blessing and if you TP out and in the fight starts over.

If so, I might have to go for the offhand Primordial instead.

new to LE. why do people seem to drop this more compared to other ARPGs? it seems like a really good, modest game in between something like Diablo and PoE in terms of complexity. I have not made it to end game yet so maybe that's why, only about 10 hours in.

No challenge and no goals, the game is stupidly easy, theres no rng the maps are always exactly the same and there's nothing like the challenges in poe leagues to make you want to try different things. It's an aimless and very empty game. Devs move at a glacial pace as well so if you don't like something chances are it's never going to get changed.

the meta way to play shaman is to stack mana/attunement, then try to proc storm bolts as often as possible and get the node that makes storm bolts deal more damage per current mana you have

Looks like we won't even be able to maintain a general for 24 hours. This season is a confirmed bomb. Can't believe they still don't have any challenge rewards or anything to achieve in the game.

I'm looking at the "roid mage" build on Maxroll(yes I know shut the fuck up) and I'm confused because it says to take Death Knights and Archmage and it itemizes around Minion Spell Damage but when you take Death Knights you can't summon an Archmage so that summon becomes all physical damage. Is there some item or passive skill that allows you to have both at the same time or did the person who posted this build overlook it and Death Knights ruins the build?

I think that build is focused on Profane Oblation, which is a minion spell. The death knight should still be able to cast it. That said, I'm not sure why they converted the mage to a death knight in the first place. Maybe they absolutely don't want the minion to be casting anything other than Profane Oblation?

So far Titanquest 2 is really barebones, it has only one act and its more akin to Old ARPGS (TitanQuest, Diablo 1 and 2, Grim Dawn, Torchlight 1 and 2) than PoE/D4/Last Epoch, I had my fun and I'm actually hyped for the rest of the game, the gameplay is slow but its not a slog like PoE 2 or a skinnerbox MMO like D4.

Last Epoch is an ARPG similar to Diablo and Path of Exile. You're thinking of the WoW private server which was launched by retards, had to shut down because they couldn't handle the massive number of players that wanted to join after their shill campaign and ended up being taken in by another private server team who is known for monetizing the fuck out of things. The server is currently being prepared for relaunch.

TQ2 is a tech demo, but it is way fucking better than Epoch so far. It feels more like PoE2 without the zoomy endgame: slow and meaningful combat that matters. I think it has potential to be a top 3 ARPG in a decade when it's finished.

Other ARPGs artificially slow progression to boost player retention numbers. In LE you can skip more than half the campaign and be at endgame each season in two hours. After that you can blast through endgame to the pinnacle boss. It's kinda nice that I don't have to waste weeks grinding just to get to endgame but it does mean I finish the season faster and go play something else.

The devs are too nice. There isn't much being done in the way of artificially extending play time through grinding so you reach a point where you feel "done" much earlier.

Damn, changed to this build and its actually 11/10, thanks for the recommendation, it just lacks a little of boss damage but its probably because I lack cast speed to drop 300 tornados and run inside of them.

How do I play it? I'm level 50 so it's probably an issue with the gear I have but I'm just doing garbage damage with it. Is it cast some tornadoes, some maelstroms, and then go into werebeast? Or am I missing an interaction?

You need to go deeper on levels of the skill for the build to function, but basically:
Tornado when you have mana, when you run out of mana transform and start running around the monster to burst him, in map you just rampage and roar to generate maelstron that can deal with trash mobs.

Chaos bold DoT Warlock is a good way to go for this.
Not very strong lately.
You can also try bleed hammer throw or just a minion army with focus on DoT applying.
But it will be weaker than crit usually.

Because I can reach end game content each league in this in a few hours. That takes 40+ hours in PoE and even then it's another 40 hours of grinding in end game to reach anything meaningful. I've leveled a dozen characters in LE to endgame max in the time it takes to level one single PoE character. They also have tons of obviously great QoL features that should be default in all ARPGs but none of the other ARPGs are smart enough to steal those ideas. Like built in loot filters, being able to forge anywhere, being able to respec anywhere at any time for free, free extra loot tabs with in game currency, the best crafting system of any ARPG by a very wide margin, and the easiest and best campaign skips for repeat playthroughs. Other ARPGs are just lacking when compared to LE. This game is decades ahead of the game design in other ARPGs.

The staff that transfer overkill for the monsters look great for clear, but if you have proper idols the relic that makes idols 60% better must be BiS.

All I knew is I was going to play falconer because by name alone it caught my interest last season and falconistry is fun as FUCK I've got everything on acid flask and then the falcons throw my full bonus fully upgraded acid flasks too and then I can drop ballista turrets that shoot and explode causing burning which is increased because the acid flasks have a DoT-increasing debuff added with the poison so now the burn does additional damage and the explosions create more acid flasks so they'll dose targets themselves as well and BIRD ACID GADGETEER GRENADIER WHY IS EVERYTHING ALWAYS SO FUN IN THIS

Bear beastmaster boss damage is insane. I'm still in the campaign but it sometimes kills nemeses, those ancient beasts, and map bosses before they even get a single attack in. They never get more than 2 attacks off before dying. The clear isn't fast but holy shit does does exploding bosses make up for it. This might make uber abberoth into easy mode.

My buddy's looking for co-op games and for some reason he's suggested this. All I care about is, is it difficult or is it the kind of ARPG to really start on a NG+ run and you're more or less just experimenting with the build you'll eventually use in NG?

LE's difficulty is on the lower end and it's pretty easy to understand the systems compared to Path of Exile. You can also respec fairly easily so you're not really locked into your choices though from what I've heard specialization is very costly to respec but that happens early enough that you could reach it in a matter of minutes if you're skipping story.

There is no NG+. Closest thing is end game where you run monoliths and then switch over to empowered monoliths. This is one of the rare ARPGs where you can actually somewhat use your build during the campaign. Many ARPGs rely on specific gear that you can't even get until end game so while you're leveling you are very weak and your build sucks. In LE you're pretty much always OP. There are some builds that require specific higher level items but they're much easier to acquire in general. And there are tons of leveling build options and even incomplete builds still work well enough to clear the content without issues. You can easily do early endgame even while using some basic campaign gear. You can craft and power up your basic gear anywhere in the world at any time and it's much more deterministic than other ARPG crafting. You can remove prefixes and affixes you don't like and replace them with ones you want. The only difference between farming and having those specific build gear items is that you go from just OP to super mega OP once you have the specific build gear items.

Debating what to play. I played for the first time last update and did Shield Throw Forge Guard. I really like being tanky, so I was thinking of maybe going with Smelter's Wrath this time around. Though maybe I just do Shield Throw again.

Reflect Spriggan is utterly retarded, I have no idea how this got past testing. Up to a few hundred corruption all you need for the build is the chest and shield and that's fucking it, everything on the screen dies of a heart attack instantly.

Played last season on HC and never died, never was in danger even.
This time with BM died 2 times already to DoTs.
Third time focused full on defense because bear just deletes everything anyway and still nowhere close to tankiness of Paladin.
