Alright /mrg/, lets unpack this. So what they have told us here, is that the matchmaking COULD avoid these scenarios, but wont because netease is afraid of long queue times. This isnt any better than EOMM, this is just bad in a different way. This means that if your queue time ever goes way past the estimated wait, there there is a high chance your next match is going to be wildly imbalanced, and that its going to be a coinflip whether or not you get the shitter on your team, and that just cancelling the queue is the safe play. Did you watch the matchmaking video? If you are half decent you get paired with the worst players in the lobby and are expected to carry. And win or loss, if you do a somewhat decent job you are the carry guy next round too. I've solo-climbed to Celestial 3 times already, and I it was the most miserable experience I've ever had to sit through and that's coming from someone who played Overwatch back in 2016 (all the way to OW2) . It's a team game. I should be able to play whatever the fuck I want in a open queue game, and play what the team needs. I don't want to fucking play Magneto, 24/7 and I shouldn't have to. Loki had bad DPS before, even before the nerf and should not be focusing on DPS. Even if you were some aim god that always hit with your projectiles and never suffered from aoe falloff you would only be doing 90 dmg/s with no chance of critting.

EOMM is real, just not in the way it's talked about. Being able to climb through most of the ranks with a winrate below 50%? That is done so people don't feel discouraged and keep playing. The big rank resets over a more steady decay? It's so the task in front of you feels new. "Rank grind for 3.5" instead of your maintenance chore grind for the week that you've had to do for 8 months. Both of those together put players of wildly different skill levels together and call them the same rank. Playing fast and lose with what "about the same skill" means? Done so you don't get bored in menus. All of these things are done to drive your engagement. All of these things are going to lead to flatly unwinable matches on a long enough (and really not that long) timeline. You were not scripted a loss by some formula, but you were handed a loss by a dice roll and no amount of improving your own aim or positioning would have changed that. That does not feel good.

There, fixed the game. There are hard role requirements. If you do not have two healers you simply do not get to play the game. The game does nothing to provide you with 2 healer players. This is the ultimate problem that needs to be addressed. I love Resource Rumble and spent the entire day playing it yesterday without touching ranked but there are 2 flaws they need to rectify before putting this into comp which narrowing down the respawn time to 5 secs instead of 10 and adding speed boosts every time you exit spawn. The respawn aspect is so brutal in this mode due to the map size and getting back to the heat of the action can take some chars with the added time 20+ secs. You could imagine how long it would take to reset with your team.
