Its a decent balance patch that seems to have avoided pants on head retarded changes for the most part. But the game finally having a normal matchmaking system is such a massive improvement its almost shocking.

Not every roundstart interaction is filled in but you get can the gist with Ky, ABA and Nago ones. Strive roundstart interactions are kinda weird since you can cleanly beat a 10 frame far slash from Sol with 5K but Ky's and ABA will trade. Johhny's 9 frame fS loses to 5K but beats his 5 frame 2P?? while millia is the opposite. 6P's have universal invul around the torso so you can beat standing normals and in return use 2D to beat it. 2D can a low profile standing normals. You can walk back and whiff punish with fS instant. Airdash back carcass raid H and backdashing are also decent options.

The stories of the characters and the music genuinely changed my life for the better and for that I will always be thankful. I'm not seeing +R Bridget here but I would put him on rank 3 or 4, learning to move with Rolling Movement properly is a lot harder than it looks, and so is actually hit confirming anything besides c.S, 2K or 6K with his shitty hitstun.

+R May is also missing, I think she would be like between 4 and 5, she's easy to win with at mid level but her optimal stuff is really tricky, her FRC input is weird to do on leverless and doing instant charge after 6P / 5H is tricky.

Also Asuka is way harder than any of the other (Strive and Xrd) chars, sure his execution is only 236 214 and 22 but the mental speed and awareness to play him is leagues above any char.
Honestly, he may even be harder than +R chars on the pure basis that +R ones can learn routes for mix-up, pressure and combos that will usually work the same way every time, but Asuka has to constantly change and adapt to his spells with little to no room for error (against actually good players), although his actual combos are super easy when he does score a hit.

The amount of people who wrongfully placed in Diamond 3 is ridiculous. I placed Diamond 1 after losing to a couple of EVO champions/top 8-ers, and have been grinding my way up.

Her whip stuff is fake, f.S(~S) and f.2S(~S) are - with no cancel, same with anything ending in 214H, you can just jump out if she tries to reset into the same buttons after, or even mash f.S if you're close enough.

Slayer is arguably low but not bottom tier in Xrd, he's just always got the potential to delete you no matter how bad the matchup is. He's disadvantaged against every high tier and even a bunch of the bad characters like Pot but even if you've got a 7/3 matchup against him the 3 games he wins he wins so hard it makes it feel even
