You can if you want to seal twist but you don't really get anything out of it as prot. It's a decent DPS increase as Ret just because the majority of your damage is from auto attacking. Your thread as prot isn't tied that much to auto attacks and one handers. Seal twisting also puts you at higher risk of going oom when you could be using other spells. However I have no idea if epoch put that much effort into mana efficiency for prot paladin making it more useful but in TBC you didn't have to seal twist as a prot paladin, no.
