During the Quest's Black Star Dragon Ball Hunt, a rogue Machine Mutant (named Mugen) was introduced as a sort of "neutral party," one that didn't care about Myuu's or Baby's plans and was more focused on going around the universe gathering up strong, prized, cool, and/or rare fighters. Ledgic got picked up by him down the line, and Nox was already among his group (among some other Fusions originals). Mugen had them enter in the Mifan Tag Tournament both as a way to help them train and try out new skills (Nox especially enjoying the variety on display) and as a recruitment drive, seeing if he could find any more fighters willing to join his group (Nappa and 16 being among those he wanted to scout out).

Chronoa and Zamasu didn't share a single line of dialogue with each other (Chronoa wasn't part of Universe Mission. Nor did she comment on Black when he showed up in the fake universe from Big Bang Mission). Her transformed state has some similarities with fused Zamasu though (Most notably the halo they both have).

So it's not for lore reasons , it's just a ship to make use of Zamasu with a female from the same species, and Chronoa is the most major Glind female. I think I've seen Towa shipped with him too...

The Pie Pie mermaid's fairly iconic and showed up pretty early in the manga, I think she deserved to make it in. I don't know the exact context, but I have a feeling this has more to do with exact DnD mechanics, and how they shift gameplay and the appropriate encounter design in regards to action economy, status effects and whatnot
Dragon Ball in contrast doesn't have hard tabletop rules to abide by, and isn't as complex in ability department
It is true it has a literal higher power level, but I don't think it's as much of an issue
There are two aspects to it, unlimited fast flight, and the ability to destroy huge areas with essentially no material in large quantities being able to resist it
On paper, if you dropped any dbz character like that into Divinity Original Sin, or Baldur's Gate 3, they would invalidate those whole campaigns, as they could fly anywhere, above any obstacle, stay out of reach of enemies, and obliterate their strongholds. In practice, the plot will still require you to engage with the locals, gather information, etc.
But that's still being unfair, let's look at an example dragon ball arc, say, Namek
Gohan, Krillin and Bulma travel around, gather information, defeat lesser enemies while evading stronger ones, retrieve dragon balls etc. The story isn't invalidated by their abilities, it's written around them, like any other arc, or any game would. And if you really want to restrict something, there are in-universe mechanics to do that

Video games feel bleaker than they did last year. I'm excited for Part 2 of that Daima DLC for Kakarot, but it's almost a year away, and there's still no telling whether or not that Xenoverse DLC is going to thematically mean nothing.

That's what makes it frustrating. The idea of the joke is great, but the dialogue just doesn't work to enhance it.

Maybe Kato should have used Tien as a reference for how to write a serious character who deals with comedic allies.

Kuriza sneaking into the mission and Vegeta having to act as his babysitter feels very Toriyama-like. Why Kato mixed a good gag with TFS dialogue is something I don't understand...

Eh, I can't think of anything in DnD you can't do in DB.
The 'added complexity' is more about damage types, immunities and weird ruling about stuff like fall damage, dice results and stacking bonuses vs non-stacking ones.

The movie itself has Piccolo claiming Gammas are roughly on Goku's and Vegeta's level, Piccolo one shots Gamma#2 as Orange. At the end of the movie, Gohan theorizes Goku or Vegeta might not be capable of defeating Cell Max, so it seems Gohan and Piccolo are above Goku and Vegeta.

Nah, Goku makes it clear how he never wanted to see Freeza again. It was a situation much different than with sparing Vegeta or Piccolo earlier. He's losing himself to rage for the first time, he's got the "evil" speech bubbles because of that. The shift is huge and he's losing his innocence. At the end of the fight he tries to regain control by letting Freeza go and reverting to base (with the round speech bubbles again) but Freeza backstabs him with the first Kienzan, forcing him to revert into the Super Saiyan state

I think a lot of it is console-war bias, subconsciously maybe. They find it absurd that the console or PC they spent hundreds on, and the game they spent $60+ on is being outdone by gachaslop. What they don't understand is that mobile devices have simply gotten more powerful. You can run the first Naruto game on them now.

They are never going to beat actual AAA games in graphical and technical quality (compare the difference in inner-lines between the models in SZ and DBL for example) , nor can they compete with all the fancy bells and whistles next-gen games offer, but in terms of art direction, modern anime games have completely stagnated, especially since CC2 and Arc system works did/do all the heavy lifting. Simply not making the environment look like a shitty unreal tech demo, for example, goes a long way.

I also think a lot of it has to do with the fact that anime games making visuals a priority is a relatively recent thing, (I think FighterZ kinda popularized it), and it took off around the same time gacha games took off. Studios that have been making anime games for Bandai for decades have only recently been trying to compensate, Spike for instance hadn't tried making a good looking anime game since the Raging Blast series and then for whatever reason decided to base their huge arena fighter off of the new, experimental art style that's only been used twice and is made specifically to be bouncy and expressive.

That's because he's loosely based off of how he looks in DBS Broly. Goku, Gogeta, Broly, and Final form Frieza are made with their DBS Broly modelsheets in mind, Vegeta's based off of his first fight with Broly when Takahashi takes over, Kid Goku and Frieza's minions are all also loosely based off of how they looked in the few seconds they were in the movie.

Then the rest of the characters who either weren't in the movie at all or only for a quick frame just had their likeness based off of a past modelsheet (turles) with a few traits from DBS:B thrown in, and according to Spike that's a rounder face, skinnier bodies, and for some reason a big nose for a few of them.

Unpopular opinion: The real successor to the BT3 series is locked behind a door that only a gahca has the key to.

I'm being partially serious. I was looking at videos of that Chinese Naruto game and I saw they were making a arena fighter, and it looks pretty good for a mobile game. It made me realize the right team with the right production values probably could make a better Sparking Zero.

A gacha game milking money out of dumb gambling addicts and whales fixes that.

It also helps my case that the two most profitable DB games right now are gachas and the last "recent" DB game that adapted all or most of early DB was a gacha (it shut down but it was still an admirable effort)
