I've said it before but I maintain that Kaiser is the weakest link in all of V1 C3. Their inclusion and how they were written basically took an axe to everything in the first half of the chapter without any satisfying payoff.
It's my biggest criticism with the volume, they make you focused on all this private equity crap only for all of it to just not matter because Kaiser just pulls a "lole might makes right" on everyone.

I could maybe stomach it if kaiser were interesting villains, but they're not. They're boring and predictable and I dread it any time they get involved in the main story.

the way this fight is dealt with is avoiding missiles/sand aoe attacks by focusing on damage dealt alone. binah generally does 1-2 line aoe attacks on your tank and then damages everyone if you are too slow to make him change phase. there's the groggy bar there to prevent him from using missiles but that again relies on damage dealt to be filled so I don't think there is any way around it unless you have good buffers or good healing + multiple teams

The art director is basically the art department's manager. They will be setting up and attending meetings to discuss and approve character designs, background illustrations, CGs etc. If you looked at the PV credits Hwansang was also doing a lot of other things like storyboarding, background art and prop art. there's different ways to view it. there's the perspective of people who have all the meta students at maximum level, but there's also the new player perspective. about people who don't have s.hanako and roll s.renge/nagusa? what about players who don't join clubs with established players to borrow from or read all the latest guides and rankings?

i don't think there's a solution that makes everything equal and work instead some students you roll early and go through missions together and then that's it. maybe you try and use them in pvp, challenges, or a jfd.

Not really my job to fix, I'm not a game designer.
Seeing some students, especially bases and not alts, releasing in a state where they're worse than students that were already considered poor is a shame though, as are situations like Misaki's bond gear that do next to nothing for a pitifully weak character.
I'm not expecting parity even ignoring outliers like blufes students, but it'd be nice if the gap was smaller instead of a student having a niche baked into their kit (Like Eri's, which is a nice little gimmick), but the base numbers being so low it doesn't feel like jumping through the hoops will catch you up to a more basic student, let alone the stronger choices.

That is a perfectly reasonable take though - I spent a long time not bothering with some optimal choices just because I made do with what I had when I was new and they were always "Good enough" and then I grew attached to them.

the only sorta idea i've had is multi combat missions/raids where you have to field like 5+ different parties then a nagusa viable and useful. suddenly you're putting shiroko and serika in your raid now. right now you can use them to throw bodies at bosses so that counts as something. i feel people act as if you either do a 1 team lunatic or you don't at all so instead of viewing it as having hikari along with s.mika you're suppose to pick only one.
