Bind a dash macro. You're gonna be using it a lot.
Close S is your god button. It chains into most your other normals and is is plus on block.
6P is your universal anti-air. It also works as a disjointed counter poke.
5D is your universal overhead. You can only get to a combo of you have 50 meter or you pick a privileged character.
Use red roman cancel to convert your throws/ 5D overhead into a combo.
Yellow roman cancel is your guard cancel, like drive reversal except it costs 50 meter.
Breaking the wall give you Positive Bonus, you get an attack & defense boost and you build a ton meter over time.
Use super to break the wall and you get a hard knockdown -- almost always worth it because Positive bonus will give you the meter back again.
Burst if you get COUNTER hit, or get bored of blocking

It's been 3 days and no Test player actually figured out new tech with hkd crow.
Everything you might catch from twitter or discord is fake, all the new tech has been debunked to be either character specific or simply not optimal.
Reality is since this patch Test lost his autotime safe jump from 2k stain pop and a niche 50/50 crossup mix from stain pop as well.
Testament's only real buff is the 2D blowback reduction but it also made 2k, 2d 236[S] safe meaty 50/50 way less consistent, which is more like an adjustment than a buff.

I'm really not sure what you exactly mean by her being one dimensional, but her super is not just for the DoT, the forced CH and the meter gain reduction are big, the hp recovery can literally make you go back from the dead on trades, if you think her DoT is all she has going for it then you're probably not really fighting decent Lucy players.
She has setplay by exactly the use of both that super forced CH and the Nerve debuff, she spends resources to either use that super or do the stuff people do (like BRC cancel airdashes to get in).
Elphelt or any other char doesn't do anything that particularly special, you have chars who approach with f.S / 2S / dash 2D / j.S / j.H or some advancing special (which Lucy has, like many other chars) or some projectile cover / poke.
There's only a handful of chars who approach neutral differently, but the vast majority do fall into the same square spot that Lucy goes.
Besides, it's also only week 1, any char who is doing anything more special than what's described here took a while to get there.
