Is the Mars storyline coming to an end? Will there be a part 2 to part 2? Spoilers for chapter 9EX

The newest chapter skipped through almost all the locations teased in the Senadina dance animation except for the cherry blossom location, which is the final place the characters will visit. Helia even called it the final mission, and Coralie remarked about how many places they skipped. Either the writers are baiting and switching us (very unlikely), or the Mars storyline is indeed nearing the end of its journey, else we would have explored many more than just 3 locations: Oxia, Langqiu, and Ruimu. Come to think of it, Ruimu was the only new major location released after the start of part 2, since Oxia and Langqiu were accessible from chapter 1. With the cherry blossom location, this brings the total number of locations to 4.

But even if the Mars storyline is ending, this doesn't necessarily mean part 2 as a whole is over. After all, part 1 also had multiple different arcs. The question is whether part 2 will have a part 2 to it or not, or if it will end sometime in 2026, which is the same year as APHO.

>Genshin does not really count since the perspective was always clear from the beginning. Zenless Zone Zero feels more like a slice-of-life game. This type of long-term storytelling really tests the skill of the writers. That is why I feel disappointed with Star Rail, because it feels like Genshin’s “one-stop” narrative all over again. A character gets used for one version, then is thrown aside. Their big moments basically all happen when their banner is live.
>This is also a very “clever” way to avoid mistakes. For example, in Genshin when a character is written poorly, people who do not care about them can simply ignore it. It will not affect future banners or the main story.

That is a real loss for fans of those characters. Or maybe this is just how most gacha are, and HI3 Part 1 was an exception. P2 also feels like this, although at least it does not discard characters the way Star Rail does. The later parts of the story still add to their backgrounds. On the other hand, maybe the problem is simply reduced production capacity. They cannot make strong new characters anymore, so they pad the main story and bring back old characters to sell.

If you want to stay up to date with your favourite artists, twitter and probably lofter are the best places to look for artworks. Pixiv is rarely updated these years and other sites mostly just repost from twitter anyway, the biggest problem is that not everything gets reposted.
Some artists tried to migrate to bluesky some time ago, but it was a much worse platform if I remember correctly and they just came back to twitter anyway.
I would use lofter too, but it was a pain to register the last time I tried.
