What's going on with matchmaking? I'm Legendary, when I was in Champion I used to get Champ+Legend players, Indestructible sometimes. Queues were kinda long, but that was okay. You get in lobby and see familiar faces on both teams. Today I was matched with GOLD players, some General rank as well. Did they gave up on ranks and just match you with people who are in queue right now?

Not him but realistically it depends on your rank, Tricera is not really playable above a certain rank right now because it dies too fast. You can try to slow it down somewhat by playing by cover and spreading out the damage you take between HP and complex shields, but in general I wouldn't bother playing it unless you have a healer willing to hard pocket you and a competent team that can take advantage of the distraction to peel you.

Die slowly.
Try to fly above him while hosing him with the gattlings. If he tries to melee deploy for parry be sure to quickly pack up again and resume hover-memes.
Try to conserve energy and don't spam boost, just hover and hose.
Watch for his shield, if it's down/on cooldown you can sit in turret-form and wait for him to spin, then give him the spicy howitzer. Stagger the shots so that you fire each time he attempts to spin.
Once howitzer is on cooldown go back to hovering.

Notes: don't forget to turn off your healing drones as it is a toggle, if you get pocket sanded and your healing drones are active they will all deploy rapidly and kys in the fart-cloud wasting your cooldowns.

Ultimately there's little hope for Tricera against welkin.

I have missions with Aquilla and Narukami.
I could swap them but then I'd have to pray to get the right maps. I try to keep my missions to non-map locked ones.
But honestly I've been getting such shit matches that I'm just this close to ragequitting the game altogether and go back to DaemonXMachina and Armored Core until something else comes out.
Genuinely love mecha games but this one broke me. Which I hoped wouldn't happen since I still have fun with Marvel Rivals two or three times a week. Mecha Break on the other hand makes me rage like no other multiplayer game ever has.

As an Inferno player, Tricera is my best friend, especially if he heals me. Tricera keeps me alive better than any other striker. Sadly, most Tricera powers, even in high legend, don't realize their full potential. Hurricane can fulfill a similar role of someone who can grab lock-on aggro and deter melees, but Hurricane only does energy damage and so Tricera is better since Welkin is prominent and can just fart cloud to be immune to energy damage.

All the problems can be reduced to one simple sentence: people are not having fun. At least not enough fun for people to keep playing.
People will put up with shitty monetization, dodgy balance and botted matches as long as they continue having fun. That only tells us one thing: the core design of this game has enough deeply rooted problems for people to notice and complain about the superficial ones.
They could change the monetization to become great. They could nerf what needs to be nerfed, buff what needs to be buffed, monitor balance fairly and fix matchmaking. But if those deep issues at the core of the concept and execution of basic gameplay remain the same, people will continue leaving.
If you want to release a successful mecha game, make it single player.

the issue was that Verge grinds you down with bad lobbies and lopsided games. there are 0 comeback mechanics and things can quickly get out of hand. the fact that there are brutally hard counters to several mechs and the game never developed any sort of let's take this seriously and play as a team culture meant that bad games just got worse and more likely as people got bored.
Mashmak is not a draw for normal people its a very heavy time commit mode with very little fun progression and loads of really boring "pve" before you just get cheesed by a flyer, a sniper or from stealth and lose everything.
Verge balance issues were tolerable for many until the patch took forever and when it was released if anything made the game worse.
the game didn't give enough social tools for people to form connections that kept them engaged. matchmaking often punished you for going in larger groups especially as the player count dropped. bots are not ok in the west. etc.
ive not one clue what monetization ppl are on about. i think i spent $20 as a sign of support and never thought about corite again.
the game would have been like Warframe where anyone who has a brain could go infinite if it could have maintained any semblance of a playerbase.

For some reason I thought devs promised to add an actual quest line after the last beta, but seems like it's forgotten.
We have pilot trailers, but (aside from kinda poorly made 3D anime) they kinda... suck? Like a kid who throws a tantrum they give you pieces of lore and cool concepts but refuse to elaborate any further. Both trailers felt like movie trailers you see in cinemas, they hook you up with le epic ebin scenes, mysteries and stuff, but if you search for more there is nothing. Unironically strikers showcases are better regarding this matter.
That's sad, I think people would like any kind of story, even a ripped off one because it still can be done in a good way.

Inferno is starting to slowly feel useless now that teams seem to be running 3 - 4 melees and they shove themselves up your butt then whoever is next. 4 melees is probably manageable if you have team comms, but without it then it seems to dominate, especially if you don't also have an equal amount of melees.

In extractors, I have to worry about Stellaris, Serenith, Skyraider AND Welkin making it miserable, but somehow that's never lead to it being a complete stomp like I may end up having in key maps. Corite maps and TDM come the second regarding this matter, I also love the fact that you can utilize all strikers effectively in these modes (all mechas are usable more or less equally). Key maps are less forgiving, but they are not as bad as node ones. Just shoot down the enemy team on multi target while throwing out all your claws and enjoy having top damage dealt despite the deaths, at least in the mountain maps. Always use normal boost and switch to mobility kit dodges when you get targeted to extend your life.
