I think I get it, even if not the other heroes the intro was probably all about getting the Vessel in the cage role and that new future would correspond with his twitter posts. The "foretold by time and space" of the abridged prophecy, him quoting it on the original deltarune site and other things still make me think he had a part in writing it, though, in which case I don't know why he'd want to subvert his own prophecy. Is it an experiment? Or maybe he simply fucked up and wants to fix his mistake.

Honestly this whole 201x thing opened my eyes....
I used to think Chara fell down there in like the 1900s or whatever and thru the years other humans fell down the same hole

It's been at least 100 years, probably much more.
This is generally assumed from Undyne and Papyrus's UnderNet usernames of StrongFish91 and CoolSkeleton95, with the obvious assumption of their names containing their birth years.
But neither know Toriel, so they cannot have been born in 1991/95, so the year must be at least some time well after 2095.
Given that it's been long enough for 6 other Humans to fall but for no average monster to be able to tell what a human is, this could be extended to some time after 2195 or even 2295.
Also, Blooky does know Toriel as she was his regular customer in the snail farm, which means he's one of the oldest monsters in Undertale.
Given his username of NAPSTABLOOK22 he may have been born (insofar as ghost monsters can be born I guess) in 1922, then again he immediately deletes that account so that could just have been the 22nd account he's made and deleted because of his shyness.

All that said the technology and the world seem modern day, so it's not really futuristic, it's alternate history.

How does it get him in Chapter 4? You can visit Castle Town when it's raining (before the fountain) and Ralsei's still there, and he shows up pretty quickly in the beginning of that dark world. Does the Knight shoot down Kris and Susie, then go to the school to grab him and come back as soon as Susie is done trying to heal Kris? The Knight having superspeed isn't out of the question, but that seems really complicated as opposed to Ralsei being able to travel to other dark worlds on his own.

I'd wager it's possible, the knight was shown to still be incredibly fast and strong in the light world, and it could explain why Ralsei is rushing to destroy the prophecies when you see him, he only just started and knows there isnt a lot of time to act. Besides its not like the church and the school are THAT far ahead, and because everyone is taking shelter from the rain the knight doesnt need to worry about hiding

So, why do the Titans have shields shaped like save points? Their type is Dark/Star like the Knight, which kind of implies it has a star somewhere in its body? Tobert went out of his way to color the Deltarune save points white like the Titan star when they were golden in Undertale and he again went out of his way to say that he was pushed into making light world save points and that the availability of save points in the light world is not supposed to have lore implications (implying by omission that save points generally do have lore implications). And all the lore about the Knight being created by a "fallen star". I feel like it is supposed to imply the Knight is relying on Kris' ability to save or gave it to them somehow, as it doesn't seem to rely on determination and has been shown to be available to Kris even without the soul.
