I've been running around the Vs Shadow level in Gens Remaster for five minutes and Shadow is just gone. Even he couldn't put up with this trash game anymore.

Sally appeared in a cartoon and a videogame on the year of her debut and Archie kept her active afterward.
The IDW characters have spinoff game appearances and are mainstays for their comic. It is likely. The fact that they do not appear in a cartoon though means that most of their fans will be introduced to them between the ages of 12 and 18 (the youngest possible demographic that reads comics)

Only time can truly tell. I'm assuming yes. If Tangle, Whisper, and Surge get vaulted, they will have a lasting legacy in the fandom.

I kind of agree, it's why I'm of fan of separating the franchise Megaman style. Sonic wasn't designed to engage with the complex story elements introduced in the Dark Age, and these characters aren't allowed to shine having to share the spotlight with such a simple main character.

The obstacles and props in the open zones need to feel natural, connected, and fun to play around in, not loose and sporadically placed like they were in Frontiers 1. Fill the map with human NPCs that give you side quests like in Unleashed to make the world feel more alive. Implement locations and buildings you can explore to get items. Make the plot high-stakes and the villain scary and truly evil like they were in the 2000s. Let Sonic and Amy become an actual romantic couple after years of pointless teasing before the 4th movie makes the couple first.

His only success was colors and that game is defined more by what it didn't do than what it actually does.
