Lucas still managed to get 3 sync pairs (like Kris, remember her?), Kanto LGPE MCs at 1 each but both are very good units. Nate is at 2 still but third unit is inevitable.
Sinnoh and Hoenn have their contest outfits in the waiting room, Unova has the movie and musical ones for inspiration as they only used the villains with their OG outfits from BW2 while Nate and Rosa didn't get the very same ones for their NCs obviously because those have to feature references of their partner Pokemon and Pasio symbols in them.

I see, it sucks, I actually thought only the anime collabs were excluded when I first looked at the pastebins. I don't think giving cookies to the event freebie ones had that many coding or "moral" problems. The TCG collab ones for example were part of the same event that also had variety banners that are still there available in the mix banner and other select scouts. Nothing stops them to make a side area with old events for new players.
I also wrote feedbacks asking for EX roles for old event freebies and EX styles, for example Victor who was the field freebie paired with later release sprint freebie Riley. EX roles in general for launch units and story ones.
Blue & Arcanine probably wasted all DeNA's energy and efforts, he is still a rare exception of a sync pair that maintains the same base look but has another set of EX style colors, Anni 2 Lillie is another special case but she basically received a locked EX style for herself based on Solgaleo colors while using the same dress for Lunala anni.

If you hit the 2% pokefairs in the Irida banner you get the strongest poison team in the game. Meanwhile Gloria gives one really good rock type and one shitter and Red just gives two shitters.

Red's firepower looks pretty good, but he doesn't check any gimmick aside from zone.
My unfiltered dogshit opinion about the new EX MFs, strength wise, is
Gloria > Irida > Volo ≥ Red
But they're all strong so really go for your favorite or what you need.

The paid banners each have a unique ticket so i'm assuming that the 2500 paid gem ticket will let you pull for a random limited unit that is part of the pool.

Well the threads are still pretty slow compared to their prime. Before people even found out what the new banner type entailed bitched and moaned about the actual character choices. Objectively it's a 4 1% banner month with a variety slop banner. I feel like it's more a momentary sigh of relief rather than anything to really celebrate. Arceus Arc Story Spoilers:

The story is about Volo approaching Team Rocket to form a truce. Volo convinces Giovanni because he offers him how to use Sync Stones Ultimate and Giovanni lacks the means to research due to revealimg himself as evil to Lear. The International Police starts to suspect Volo, so Paulo tells Rei they won't be able to hide for long. Rei and Paulo go talk with Cyrus to ask for help in case they have to fight Arceus - they got Dialga and Giratina, but not Palkia. Cyrus refuses because Volo also wants to complete the world. Volo challenges Cynthia for the Arceus Cup on a rematch, and she accepts. During the match, Volo fails to awaken his Arc Suit, but reveals he discovered how to use Sync Stones to control any Pokémon - that's how he plans to control Arceus, and that's how he takes control of Cynthia's own Giratina (yes, they're the very same, no parallel dimension one). Volo overpowers Arc Suit Cynthia with Giratina, but Cyrus comes to save her, while Giovanni ends their pact, making Volo go mad and retreat. The story ends with Cynthia without Giratina and feeling guilty about accepting Arceus' power without considering Giratina's feelings towards the one who banished it.
